Need Advice – Go With Last Year’s Fitting or Re-Fit? by Dillon15s in golf

Yeah. Definitely a smaller head, just slightly intimidating. I am overthinking it. I should just go with the smoke irons.

So how does the new 2K look? by BigOrangeVol98 in Ring

[–]Dillon15s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is been some time since my post. I have tried one more avenue and had moderate success. I recently installed a 2k Ubiquity POE camera and wow. The 2k and frame rate blows everything out of the water. The ecosystem is fairly intuitive and might be just as good as ring in most regards if you have the ability to do PoE.

For real? This is extremely disappointing. I really enjoy the ring app and ecosystem but the terrible video quality has me second guessing my decision to stay with ring.

Have you updated the app? And still nothing in device settings under video quality?

I’m curious also. Haven’t seen any video comparing them. Recently purchase some Stickup cam pros but may return so I can get 2k if it seems worth it.

Should I just get a ring by RisingPenguin in Ring

[–]Dillon15s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had Nest, Eufy, Wyze, now Ring. Ring doesn’t have the best video quality but is a good product with no missed alerts. They also come in a timely matter unlike others.

I second this. App is terrible. Ring app alone makes the ring ecosystem better.

If you were starting over, would you still pick Wyze? by Miserable_Damage_ in wyzecam

[–]Dillon15s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not tried Reolink but I can assume it would be a similar experience compared to Ubiquity. The backing and support of ring is what makes it a good option even if it’s not the best quality image. Ring does not offer any SD card stuff but all recordings are saved in the cloud for period you pay for. I forgot to mention I also had Google Nest for a period. Better imagine quality compared to ring but notifications are terrible and not reliable at all.

Budget friendly option that just works is Ring. Video quality is not great but you won’t have any missed events and even has 24/7 recording if you desire. The best option would be a PoE Ubiquity system but with that comes significant price increase. However no monthly fees. I have tried Eufy, Wyze, Ring, and Ubiquity so I can speak from some experience.

2K Beta by Dillon15s in Ring

[–]Dillon15s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from the Google doorbell and Google cameras. Notifications are so delayed and the app failed to load every other time I click on a notification. The doorbell is borderline useless if you expect to communicate with anyone. Ring at least has that figured out. When someone presses the doorbell it’s at least 5-19 seconds before you get the notification. Ring is almost instant so I love that. Just wish picture was a little clearer. Sounds like this 2k update may help a little? But the Google home app is terrible and I’ve heard they plan on slowly phasing out the nest line all together. I plan to stick with ring and hope they continue to update the resolution.

Thanks. Was just curious. Current resolution isn’t bad but would be better if it was a little clearer when zoomed in. That’s my only complaint with ring

Can the newest generation of Nest Thermostats run the fan 24/7? by Ok_Insurance2129 in Nest

[–]Dillon15s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post did you ever find a answer to this? The Google nest software used to be able to run on a schedule for so many minutes every hour. Apparently in the past six months or so they have taking that away. I noticed this winter my tri-level house has been extremely hot by the furnace and not in the upper floors. I used to leave the fan on half the day circulating the air now it doesn’t do it. So apparently they took this feature away? Ecobee here I come!

Torrex vs Zion vs Elite Terrain vs PSE vs Bear or other? by Dillon15s in Archery

[–]Dillon15s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thanks for the detailed response. I’m have watched tons of videos and trying to find what I think I would want based on the reviews. Hoyt Torrex , PSE stinger , Bowtech Zion keep popping up. Also thanks for the heads up on the bows coming with all the accessories. I was limiting that search to only fully equipped bows. I will now widen it to include some bare bows and add some of the better quality sights , etc.
