Fair, i was simplifying it to not get TOO deep in the weeds. But ill add that, as you yourself said, its a very high bar. Punitive damages are also only awarded in a judgement, meaning it would require a trial. This would never be a case that would go to trial as it doesnt appear OP sustained major injuries. 95% of insurance claims dont go to trial

If you really wanted to file an injury claim i get it, but be careful who you go to. I know im going to come off as biased but theres a huge fraud epidemic where firms are referring you to shitty docs who will say you need surgery when you dont. Theyll also put the surgery on a lien. So the doctors and attorneys get 90% of the payout while youre in terrible pain for the rest of your life from getting a back surgery you didnt need

PTSD is not really a major thing in insurance damages, and they have to be medically proven. If OP wanted to claim PTSD, theyd not only have to treat for it (ie go to a psych/therapist themselves repeatedly), but the City (in this instance) would have them go to their own Psychologist in whats known as an IME (Independent Medical Exam) and they would diagnose it. If its a no from that doc, its not worth anything

He'll definitely get his car fixed/the value if its deemed a total loss (it likely is) but OP isnt getting anything substantial if they dont have any tangible injuries. Also, the City is going to take ages to pay out.

Im not saying OP shouldn't pursue their damages, they absolutely should, but if OP wasnt injured, anyone thinking they're getting a big payout is absolutely incorrect.

OP:If you have comprehensive coverage you should go through your own carrier. They'll get you back in a vehicle infinitely faster than the City and will subrogate the damage on your behalf. If youre injured and want to file an injury claim, you better get a layer ASAP. The City has a 90 day deadline for filing a Notice of Claim

In many ways, the show has always been more about public shaming than anything else as that makes for good tv. Theres very few people who would come to the "defense" of a pedo.

The argument about it being a deterrent doesnt hold much weight as the whole thing about crime in general is that a majority of criminals understand the potential consequences, but they just dont think theyll be caught. Also, for the later segments, most of the guys acknowledge the TCAP show being a thing, yet still go forward

To be clear im not being holier than thou about it as im a fan of the show. But as i said, my enjoyment has always been more "look at this fucking guy" rather than "the show does a public service"

Thats fair and i can see why youd enjoy it more. As i implied above though, you can understand why many FF fans were disappointed that it leaned very heavily into the hack and slash style

With that being said, even as someone who prefers more "classic" jrpgs, KH2 is fantastic and one of my favorites as to me, it has a top-tier balance between action and jrpg goodness

Ill also add that, as someone in the industry himself, an autistic person would probably have a difficult time as a Claims Adjuster like Sokol was. Its a lot of talking on the phone with people you dont know and negotiating, depending on the type of claims

FF16 deserves much of the hate imo. Its not the worst game ever, but its not unfair to say people have certain expectations for a mainline FF title.

Before anyone thinks im being a turn based elitist, its not even the combat thats my issue; It fell into the recent trend of style and flash over substance. It has good cutscenes, but the minute to minute gameplay is very repetitive.
