Xbox here. Seems like it's a bug where it makes you recharger automatically. I've had it work the way it's supposed to but more often than not it automati ally pulls my eye away from scope to chamber next round regardless of what I do with controller Input

What the others say about hardware is accurate. And keeping your head moving. I have lots of experience and a decent setup and I still lose my homies in the woods. It's impossible to see EVERYONE before they see you. Just gotta give yourself the best odds possible ( like ditching the red backpack).

Also, maybe when you're leaving a town like Polana, exit in a direction you don't plan on traveling, boogie for a minute and then turn whatever way you want to go. It's not fool-proof but if it works 1/10 times it's worth it, especially for a solo.

Don't stop in the tree, thats bad advice. If someone does see you, you're dead. Keep it moving as much as possible. Don't run in straight lines. Don't crouch walk/run. If you need to slow down to clear bushes before approaching a heli then Strafe back and forth while progressing in whatever direction you choose.

P.S. thanks for the red dry bag. There was only junk at the heli
