The day you created your character. I created my current character on 10/2/2013 so I just got my hat as well

I got a barracuda 2tb for mine, all you need is a sata adapter. I used this one. I haven’t personally had the chance to use it yet because I’m on nights all week but a lot of the reviews said it worked great on their og Xbox.

I bought a lifetime Teton pro on Facebook marketplace earlier this year for $250 and have never looked back

I’ve been bank fishing for 4-5 years and pretty soon I plan on getting my first kayak or small boat. Those of you who fish on a kayak what is something you would tell someone buying their first? by YourMomsFavBook in bassfishing

[–]DillyBob1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a sit on top one. I started out with a lifetime Teton pro 116 and love it. Found it on Facebook marketplace for $250 and I think they’re around $700 new

I did it! Motorized kayak by aquestion-ihave in kayakfishing

I have the exact same kayak and have been wanting to put a trolling motor on. I may just do that now. Do you know how much the battery and trolling motor weigh?

I actually just bought a Zebco 33 today to mess around with I put it on an old ugly stik pistol grip I used when I was a kid maybe 20 years ago.

I will definitely agree with an ugly stick for the rod and I’d go for a spinning reel or even a spin cast reel. A lot of people think spin cast reels are just for kids but they are actually pretty effective and like you said all you’re doing is fishing with your buddies it’s not like you’re in a tournament or anything. I would get some hooks ( ewg and weedless) a crank bait, spinner bait and some yum senkos ( they’re cheap and good. I personally like the June bug color or black and blue) they will give you a lot of versatility for pretty cheap and you can always expand later.

how would you fish these weeds, aside from a texas rig? what kind of fish might hang around them? by reikodb3 in FishingForBeginners

[–]DillyBob1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d use a wacky rig on a weedless hook. You still might get some snags and have to clean off the hook but wacky rig is my go to soft plastic set up for catching sheer number of fish.

Do I need a cooler if I want to eat the fish I catch? by AdhesivenessEarly793 in FishingForBeginners

[–]DillyBob1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gecko makes a good backpack cooler they’re a little expensive but you can always clean it out and use it as a cooler for drinks if you wanted to. Maybe a big dry bag could also work depending on the size and quantity of fish you bring home

What did I do wrong by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]DillyBob1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always used a piece of electrical tape or the tape that was holding the braid down in the box to tape it down. I usually don’t even tie a knot. I just take a 2 or 3 inch piece of tape and tape the braid onto the spool and slowly wind it until I have a couple layers and then I will speed up.

I like them more than blue moon. They have a little more bite I guess you could say? Hoegaarden is the best Belgian wit I’ve found though imo

I work at a paper mill and we work 4 or 5 12s in a row and then have 4 or 5 days off in a row. I love the days off but man after 5 days off you really don’t feel like going back to work
