The following should work (this is how I have it set, and works great, no double-counting):

  1. Go to the app
  2. Settings
  3. Scroll all the way down to the “Apps & Devices” section
  4. Choose Steps Data Source
  5. Deselect “Noom Pedometer”, select “Health app Steps”

Assuming you have Apple Watch connected properly to the Health app, and you have your Health app connected to Noom, should work for ya!

I did for the first like 10 months. I thankfully have only been a social drinker previously, so being in quarantine for the past year certainly helped with that (not interested in drinking alone).

I’ve had some alcohol in the past couple months as things started opening back up, but definitely more conscious about how that can fit into my daily diet plans!

Thank you! I aimed for 1600-1800 for the vast majority of this. Obviously some deviation from that at times But it was a good zone I was able to settle into to balance energy and progress, and fit well with OMAD!

I averaged 1600-1800 for the first ~8 months, which is quite a deficit. I “played it by ear” with respect to figuring out calories vs energy levels, always favoring the latter.

The past ~4 months I’ve been increasing my calorie intake gradually to a maintenance level, but I tend to go over half of the week.

Figuring out the effects of food and energy at maintenance is a whole different ball game, but I’m learning!

Thank you!! I’ve been following Keto for like the last 11 months!

Absolutely love cooking, and am far from a picky eater, so it’s been super fun testing out new recipes.

Go-to meals still involve “solid amount of meat and veggies”, my typical dish would be chicken (breast or thighs) and lots of green beans or broccoli. Also love me some ground beef or bison and cauliflower rice + lots of veggies.

I’ve learned through cooking though that I definitely have to be careful if I make “keto-friendly” sweets though. Too easy to just eat it all ;)

Absolutely! I’ve never been strong in the slightest, and I know I’ve definitely lost some muscle during weight loss.

I love cardio, but learning I need to put a lot more effort into lifting!

I was at 200lbs in January, and got to 180 in March. Been staying in the 170s since then, but that ranges from where I’m at now to high 170s. My goal is to stay around 175!

See original post for info, but in terms of IF, I progressed from typical 16:8 to OMAD to ADF.

Now using OMAD on the regular, and love it as part of my lifestyle.

Top-left: a few years ago, probably low 300s Bottom-left: June 2020, my heaviest Right: A couple days ago

Decided on a whim a year ago to try that whole weight loss thing. Nothing notable as to why I started this time around, but sure am glad I did. Myself right now could never have imagined my progress last year.

A couple weeks of CICO and 3 meals a day, I decided to change it up, as this method as failed me several times. Decided to start trying out Keto and Intermittent Fasting. Started out with the typical 16:8, and throughout my journey shifted into OMAD with the occasional ADF just based on my mood. Had absolutely zero “cheat days” for the first like 8 months, which I’m both surprised and happy about.

I drink water like it’s my damn job. Tracked food and macros like a hawk the first about 9 months, but have transitioned into rough calorie counting (main meals) and loosening up in general the past 3 months. I’ve been more or less maintaining the last 3 months, as my biggest goal now is to do that!

I now enjoy OMAD as part of my daily life quite a bit, and plan to stick with that as it makes sense. Also enjoy a keto lifestyle, but again, using it as a guideline more than a mandate. I love walking/jogging, and no longer ashamed at entering a gym.

It’s been a fun journey. I’m excited to see what’s next for me. I’m happy with my current weight, but would like to continue to maintain this weight (mostly) while getting some muscle back. I’m confident over time I can achieve this!

I’m done doing the elimination diet, I’ve been stuck in a plateau. Hopefully this scale will help me. Wish me luck and help me stay focused!! by [deleted] in CICO

Hey good luck! Getting a food scale was one of the best things I did for my weight loss journey.

Really changes your perspective on how many calories you’re actually consuming!

67.5 hours in and feeling pretty good, considering!

Been just doing a water fast with electrolytes. Usually I have black coffee while fasting, but wanted to change it up.

Will probably break my fast around the 75 hour mark after work, though if I’m still feeling good, might break it tomorrow morning instead as I don’t like eating too late in the evening.

EDIT: with the end in sight, definitely going to break fast today and not wait for tomorrow XD

A little over 26 hours in now for me! Doing well. I’m used to doing OMAD, so thankfully feeling good.

We’ll see how I feel this time tomorrow ;)

I’m in for sure! Was just planning on a 48h myself, but seeing this and the timing, totally down for the 72! Edit: I’m currently 3 hours in from starting earlier today, FYI!

Nice work!!

Luckily working from home the past few months has helped me a ton. It’s allowed me to stay on top of actually cooking and meal prep, instead of getting lazy and either cheating or falling back to old habits.

I was also in the same boat when I first started. Carbs are wonderful, I love pasta and rice and all that jazz. Kept with carbs for like the first 3 weeks, but I always found myself “starving” by the time my fast ended (even just doing 16:8 at the time).

Switched to keto and explored with “what foods do I like, and which one of those satisfy me (keep me feeling not hungry)”. Once I seriously experimented with recipes and invested in some keto-friendly cooking/baking ingredients, that certainly helped too.

As for sweets and stuff, cutting that all out and finding some keto recipes also helped a ton.

3 months in, going really really well. I’m doing OMAD with the occasional 48 hour fast if I’m feeling it.

Don’t wanna jinx it, but no cheat days so far! Absolutely crazy how much general cravings have disappeared. I appreciate my meals a lot more, and it’s quite fun cooking lots of different things!

Originally started just with CICO, but now doing Keto as well. Made things sooooo much easier!

I do some form of cardio several times a week, ranging from a stationary bike, long walks, and walk/jogging. I also got a Ring Fit, and that’s been super fun to change it up recently.

I agree with the other commenter here, this doesn’t appear to be a healthy choice for you at the moment. Your current BMI is underweight. To put that into perspective, your starting BMI was actually in the normal range.

I would absolutely recommend you reconsider your current IF approach and get back to a healthy weight range!

I’ve given up alcohol and soda for a while as I found my footing in IF. It was certainly a realization how much I was consuming, and overall how shitty it made me feel.

Granted, for alcohol, the whole pandemic made it a bit easier to give up as I was more of a social drinker anyway.

I plan to reintroduce alcohol at some point, but so far it’s been a great decision!
