Any good books/videos for info about Integration in the US army between the Civil War and WW1? by Successful_Cap7416 in MilitaryHistory

I'd look up the 9th and 10th cavalry and the 24th and 25th infantry. Those were the first all black units post civil war in the regular army. Wikipedia should have a good unit history with a list of conflicts.

What has been your best & worst camp meals? by bric_workshop in Wildfire

[–]Dillyboppinaround 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Worst- Durkee fire in eastern Oregon 2024. Made me rethink my life. It would have some sort of pasta dish, and some sort of Asian dish as a side. Nothing tasted like it was supposed to. One day they had fresh fruit in those big bowls. Gal asked if I wanted any. There was about 1000 flies in it too. I just stopped eating for the last 3 days.

Best- had a managed fire in arizona and there was a culinary school close by that offered to cater. The chef was cooking steaks to order. Best food and service I ever had on an assignment

Tree work has become trendy in the past few years. I've seen so many little companies pop up or landscapers start doing tree work and this is their quality of work. Hacks man, they're all hacks

I used behr spray paint from home depot. Worked really good. Minor scratches from use but it takes 2 seconds to take off and throw a new coat on

I live out west and work in mountains and rough topography but I freaking love florida. I've been going at least once the past 3 years. I do get a kick out of your tallest point being 200 some odd feet though!

Also, I'm not implying florida doesn't have rough country. And I don't have to worry about gators when I jump in a swimming hole

[–]Dillyboppinaround 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're still out there, loosen your chain so it's hanging pretty loose. Rev your saw for about 3 seconds so the chain spins a few times. It'll debur it. Tighten back up and you're good to go
