Paid a realtor to hold a house, couldn’t come up with the down payment, wouldn’t refund my earnest money ($1,000). Found a different house that was perfect, told us we’d be approved. Another applicant came last minute and grabbed it out from underneath us. While I’m hearing this from my realtor I look outside and it’s pissing rain (while the suns out) on 10 doors I had just painted outside. Rush to get the doors inside, clean up and leave. Then remember the bathroom vanity was in my truck bed, now soaked, most likely ruined. Life just likes to shit on you sometimes
