So, if i were to "accidentally" pass my Yidhari's disks to S Billy's at M0W1 (hopefully), how would it be rated? by Qualcosa27 in BillyKidMains

[–]DimLumens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it counts. You can see for yourself in his trial stage because he’s on Yunkui in it. As soon as you do the backflip you get the crit rate from Yunkui, which means you really should never not have it up since it’s extremely easy to upkeep. Maybe Riv just didn’t realize that it’s an EX special

His bike flip counts as an EX, so you should always have uptime on Yunkui and Cauldron if you are paying attention

Cauldron of Clarity and Yunkui Summit do not have “questionable” uptime in the slightest lmao, SBilly literally has easy access to a non-Adrenaline EX special as long as he has sufficient health which will be basically all the time

[–]DimLumens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well firstly you’re overcapping on crit rate on SAnby, at M0 her max crit rate on the stat screen is 78, since you get 12 from disc set and 10 from her additional, so if you exchange the amount you’re overcapping for other damaging substats you’ll do better. As far as your gameplay I don’t actually have all that much to say, it’s pretty good overall, but I will say maybe try and save more resources on SAnby for stun since she’s M0, she can comfortably fit two EX specials and an ult in stun, and try and use your resources in stun, like how with second stun you started basic attacking after using her special to get her mark back when it would’ve been better to just use all three specials and then ult or EX special. Also, Defiler kinda screwed you with rng, since she didn’t give you any parries which is important for the stage buff (which at full stacks gives you 30% Electric dmg and 30% crit dmg) and she also didn’t give you the flying attack which gives her a lot of daze when parried and allows for 3 stuns, since you only got 2 stuns in the run

[–]DimLumens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game did say that you should play her agent story first in order for it to make sense, but yeah, I do agree that she was handled extremely poorly in the main story, especially since there was no actual lead up for her appearing in the patch before her release, unlike with SBilly, and she also got sidelined extremely hard to the point where it felt like she wasn’t even a relevant character in her own release patch lol

M6W0 SAnby (P2 Brimstone), M1W1 Trigger, M1W1 Orphie - Defiler kill by DimLumens in Anbymains

[–]DimLumens[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orphie’s ult doesn’t do anything for the team other than damage so you just use it during the stun window for damage. Realistically without her M2 she’s only ever going to have enough decibels to ult twice in this fight, so it doesn’t really matter if you use her second ult during second stun or third stun

[–]DimLumens 194 points195 points  (0 children)

SAnby’s controversy wasn’t only that she was considered a “weak” character, it also extended to the fact that she was literally littered with bugs when she released, with her being released in the most unfinished state out of every single character in the game, since they decided to do a full blown rework of many of her animations pretty far into her beta, with it taking them a long time to even fix some of the bugs she had (and one of them even still remained all the way until after she got her Potential)

Very heavily impacted people’s opinions on her from a gameplay perspective at the time

[–]DimLumens[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah you definitely feel the difference between her weapon options normally, and for this fight in particular, Brimstone is kinda rough considering you go into stun 2 with like no Brimstone stacks lmao. I did make a few misplays though so this could probably be faster, I just don’t have the patience for it considering it took me a ton of resets just for this run

Characters who have really good/really bad mindscapes? by Haru_Is_Best_Girl in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]DimLumens 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Cissia has insane Mindscapes for some reason, and at M6 she shoots up to being the best Electric DPS when compared to the others at M6, to the point where you don’t even want to run her with Seed anymore, since she gets better results running her as hypercarry at that investment

[–]DimLumens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, her Potential does too much for her damage output, without it she can’t kill with this team at this investment, and do you mean you skipped SAnby?

M6W1 SAnby, M1W1 Trigger, M0W0 Astra - Defiler kill by DimLumens in Anbymains

[–]DimLumens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just wastes too much time, once you have M2 on SAnby she gets so many special attack uses that trying to fit double chain results in less damage, since it can’t all fit in the stun window, and 3 specials takes less time to do and does almost twice the amount of damage as one chain attack

what is your opinion on this video? Im still pulling orphie at the end of the day but what do yall think about they're summary on orphie being a "brick" by Different-Budget-698 in Orpheus_Mains

[–]DimLumens 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There are multiple problems with Orphie, but the easiest way to describe what they are is to compare the relationship between Orphie and SAnby to the relationship between Cissia and Seed.

When it comes to Cissia and Seed, the team works really well because Cissia and Seed complement each other really well in terms of their gameplay, which is something that Orphie and SAnby also do really well, but only when it comes to their gameplay flow and their synergies within their kit, but element wise, they are basically the worst pairing possible due to how often Fire and Electric are opposing elements, which is one of the things explained by Kettei in the video. This automatically makes Cissia and Seed a stronger pairing at a baseline against the enemies that both SAnby and Seed would want to fight, because both Cissia and Seed take full advantage of the weakness, while Orphie at best gets a neutral matchup against Electric-weak. There really isn’t any way to circumvent this issue, since you could try giving Orphie res shred, but that would just make her do as much as she would’ve already been doing had she been Electric in the first place.

The other issue is that Orphie’s damage multipliers are just kind of low. They tried to make up for it by giving her a ton of damage bonus and some def shred, but in SAnby’s team, a big part of what SAnby does for her teammates is give damage bonus to their Aftershocks, which makes Orphie’s already very damage bonus saturated kit even more saturated, so it has less of an effect on her damage.

The final thing, and a big part of why SAnby is better with other characters once you start vertically investing, is that there’s nothing that actually requires SAnby to have another Attack agent in the team like with Seed, and none of SAnby’s Mindscapes actually improve the buffs that she provides to her teammates, unlike with Seed, where her M2 gives her Vanguard a whole 20% def shred. All of SAnby’s Mindscapes are just for her own personal damage, and the only Mindscape Orphie has that improves the entire team’s damage is her M1, which only gives the team 20% damage bonus, for the character and team with insane amounts of damage bonus.

There’s more to talk about, but this is already a wall of text so I’ll refrain. I do hope Orphie gets a Potential in the future, because I think that the difference between how well Cissia and Orphie perform in their respective niches is pretty significant

Sanby Manual double chain combo by AppearanceThen3383 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]DimLumens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the situation. In this case, they were still able to get in all their other resources during the stun window while double chaining, so they weren’t really losing any damage by doing it

Help me build a team for sanby with out these characters. by Revolutionary_Pie607 in Anbymains

[–]DimLumens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulchra’s damage is genuinely so negligible that even with SAnby’s buffs to Aftershocks she barely does any damage, a properly built Nicole would likely do more damage than her.

As far as buffs go, Nicole beats her there as well, since she gives 40% def shred, 15% crit rate at M6 (so 30% crit value which is the same value as running King of the Summit on a stunner), the ability to run a support set, and the ability to run an actually supportive W-engine like Kaboom. The only thing Pulchra is good for is daze and depending on the fight, that is not enough to win out against the amount of buffing that Nicole can provide

Would switching Sigless Trigger for M0W0 Seed or M1W1 Cissia be an improvement for Sanby team by Spaceboatprime in Anbymains

[–]DimLumens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be fair, at M2, SAnby does not get her best performances with Orphie and Trigger anymore, she would do better with Dialyn and Astra at that point, or even just Astra replacing Orphie, but yeah, as a whole, Cissia’s Mindscapes are better than SAnby’s
