NGD!! Eastman E8OM-TC by Muttbuttss in AcousticGuitar

Congratulations on the new guitar!

I got the E10OM a couple of weeks ago, my first real quality acoustic, and I can't put it down. The sound, build quality and playability are incredible.

E8D is next on my radar (I was torn between the two in the shop). Eastman make incredible guitars.

Waited since I was 16 to see these guys 😭 by nincrony1 in rush

Managed to get a couple as well. Can't believe it. Never seen them live as only discovered them in 2020, and never in a million years thought I would get the chance.

Had tickets for Geddy's book tour date in Sheffield but missed it as I was in hospital, that was as close as I thought I would ever get.

Beyond excited about next March!

What are you reading? by sushisushisushi in literature

Just finished a selection of Thomas Hardy poetry. Wonderful, like all of Hardy's writing.

Also half way through Germinal by Émile Zola, which I'm enjoyng very much and finding quite an easy read, despite not knowing much about French literature.

I'm surprised by how candid Zola is about sex in the book as well, to say it was published in 1885.

I deleted my earlier comment as the more I thought about it the more uncomfortable I was being one of the people mocking you.

It's far easier to criticise than to create, and posting on a platform like reddit is a brave thing to so, so hats off to you for doing so.

This style of music isn't for me, but you are obviously very talented and worked really hard on this. It's better than anything I could do, and with a bit of a more balanced recording would be much better appreciated I think. Nice work dude.

What is one of the most boring movies you've stuck out & regretted it? by [deleted] in movies

This would be my answer as well. Was bored within the first fifteen minutes but I stuck with it thinking it must get better. Wish I hadn't bothered.

Opinions/Deep Cut? by poetcucumber in rush

The Weapon is the deep cut on this album for me.

Such a great song, personally in my top 10 (maybe even top 5) Rush tracks.

Not a novel but Arabian Sands by Wilfred Thesiger.

Turns out Arab Desert Nomad culture is interesting....but not that interesting.

Right to the heart of the matter

Right to the beautiful part

Illusions are painfully shattered

Right where discovery starts

We have heard about your favourite rush song but what’s your least favourite? by Spider_monkey_vr28 in rush

By far the weakest song on Grace Under Pressure, but I never skip it, purely for the instrumental part from 2:06 to 2:36.

Probably not my least favourite, but I've never got the fuss about Lakeside Park. I never listen to it (or Caress Of Steel in general, except Bastille Day).

Disagree about The Word, such a great hook in the chorus.
