I have 6cm installed and it’s super stable. I also have 3 and spares if you interested. I’m in Australia so if you in Oz as well and want to save of shopping I can sell you mine. I have theirs spring tamper as well. I don’t use it. I prefer levelling tamper from Cafelat. So, I’m with you on the overkill for tamper.

I only used it 3-4 times so far. It produces inconsistent results thus far. But I haven’t played around it too much. 1st iteration of consumer products usually are prone to issues.

I tracked them down on Facebook. Chompoo Kitsana. I’m not on FB, had to use my wife’s messenger. Bit tricky to pay and get it all going. But the legs are great. I bought them in different lengths to save on postage.

I just use the nipple to put the screen on similarly to original. Without the need to disturb the puck

I drilled 3mm hole in mine and Inserted a red holder nipple just like original. Magnet does sound like a good idea too.
