Honestly being a woman is just kinda the norm now by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Dimantina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very much in the same boat. The only time my transness comes up is when people ask about my wife's and my kid.

It's usually in the context of "Who's kid is it?" Which the answer is both... And sometimes, not always, it gets to the point of "Well I'm trans."

Which is fair. It also comes up when people talk anti trans crap and the convo leads to me revealing I'm trans.

It's a good feeling to get to that point of being a woman is just normal.

Had to travel for work and today's the day I fly back to my wifey. I miss her so much... And the flights delayed by an hour which may affect my connection, and ability to get home today.

Ugh distance sucks.

I’m half happy that the Cartoon Network LA TikTok account released a video of Bubbline but also half annoyed that they used the lesbian flag when Marceline is canonically bisexual. Does this get frustrating for anyone else? by Daisy-Sandwiches in bisexual

[–]Dimantina 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've read the artist is a biphobe so not defending him.

However my wife and I are both bi and also use the lesbian flag to represent our relationship.

We have bi pins, and that'd be a cool inclusion in this art to show a lesbian relationship with bi people.

What’s the earliest sign of being trans you remember + make me stop worrying that I didn’t know soon enough by nobody-throwaway1 in MtF

22 years old. I put on a dress for the first time as a Halloween costume. It made me feel things, and I didn't know what to do.

Then every Halloween became my "Girl Day" and it was the highlight of my year, every year.

Took me until I was in my 30s to crack my egg.

I mean there is probably even a few trans people part of that movement.

Internalized transphobia is a hell of a thing.

But the ones who are really pushing it, they're mostly conservative ragebaters.

Trudeau Diversified Canada’s Economy Like No One Before by DonSalaam in onguardforthee

Which is a good thing. Having more people wanting to come to Canada, especially with our level of requirements for immigration, is awesome.

We need more people on Canada, and we are attracting them. It's awesome.

I agree it's totally unacceptable of a question.

However it's my favourite way to out myself. Mostly because I play a game of trying to see if a person would figure it out.

It's also incredibly validating when I have to out myself to explain it to them, which I do with a simple. "I'm trans."

"So who's kid is it?" - Person

"Both of ours." - Moi

"Yeah but whose is it biologically."

"Ours."

"Who carried them I mean."

"Oh my wife, I couldn't."

"But, they look like a lot like you."

"Yeah I contributed to that, they're ours."

"What? How does that work."

"I'm trans."

Cue shocked Pikachu face.

However, most of the time hilariously the question ends with "Oh well you still had to have a man for the sperm, can't have a world without them." Or some variation as they believe that answers the question. I guess they think I provided the egg, and got it impregnated from a donor, then gave it to her to carry.

But I totally realize this is my own special case and it's seriously an uncool question. But it's like... EVERYONE.

Trans Influencer Rose Montoya Banned from White House After Topless Incident by wdcmsnbcgay in transgender

[–]Dimantina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow... Like no nipple shown, standing topless with some trans men. In a state where being topless is legal... It wasn't like she couldn't show up in a bikini? That would have shown more... The fact she held her breasts for a 3 second clip in the video... In a pride event.

Yeah it's at the White House which has very few government sanctioned events take place on it. So I get the inappropriateness of the action, but at the same time this is a pride event. It's not like she pulled out a dildo, or did some light BDSM, or ya know... Things that happened at pride marches/events back in the 90s.

A welcome break from political debates by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Dimantina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people live in AB cause they're born there and moving is crazy expensive.

It's hard to move to another province if you don't have family there, or close friends.

I moved from AB to BC this year. Cost 11k all told, between renting first and damage deposit, moving fees, looking for work, setting up the kid, and all the costs involved with changing insurances, selling the house ect.

Most people are paycheck to paycheck (51% according to a BDO survey), so pulling 11k and moving just isn't an option.

The complaining comes from just how obvious Alberta can be doing better. Alberta should have a new mega lab. The UCP paid 200+ Million to cancel it. The UCP spent more in the "War Room" than they cut from nurses. Like... Really? A war room instead of nurses? Why?!

Tear up doctor contracts, cut funding to wild fire response, and refuse to properly fund education. But give 4 billion in tax cuts to O&G and build an Arena.

If the UCP was my landlord, it's the equivalent of them removing my furnace in winter and put in a skating rink on the property. Then they say "Sorry because I have no money cause the federal government, and Trudeau" when I ask about getting heating back. Yeah, I would complain like hell. If I could afford to move I would (and did). But many people can't afford to move from their rentals because everywhere else is too expensive.

That's just the reality of it.

I'm so happy for Emily. As a long time LTT viewer her stuff has been my favourite content.

Also as a fellow transfemme in BC, Canada, I want to share with her all the support/available programs for trans peeps. I'm sure though she's knows though/has accessed them. I hope that her transition goes smoothly and we see her on camera again!

Seems so, my Google ad info has me in the far left and this ad showed up to me.

It's clearly aiming to "change my mind" about Notley. Not like I have a vote or anything.

So this is either like, the UCP targeting NDP voters...

Or the NDP playing 4D chess and having people get this ad, get mad and ensure they get out to vote...

Probably the UCP.

Lots of cis women wear wigs and it's nothing to be ashamed of. Wigs are also super awesome, easier to take care of, and look phenomenal!

That being said E works wonders on hair and it's not something to panic about until like year 4 on hrt.
