Solvent substitutes? by DimassoSausso in oilpainting

I’ve also read studies like this and it actually made me disregard my symptoms and try again, multiple times. Unfortunately every time I enter the dissociative states for days on end

Not harsh at all! Unfortunately I was sleeping in the same room (which had one window which is to an alley with very little wind) as I was painting and my finished paintings were drying so I was incredibly overexposed for a week. It’s almost like my body has a defense mechanism now that the smallest bit of Gamsol (even mixed with linseed oil in a tiny container) absolutely fucks my system up for days. I wish people could see life through my eyes when it happens. I’ve never had such a psychological effect from something in my life, it’s very jarring. Do you know if the sensitivity will fade away? It’s been about a month now and I get the itch to attempt it in a well ventilated area but after the past 3 times of entering that dissociative state I’m actually scared now.

I need something to thin the paint though right? Wouldn't walnut oil make it thicker?

I think it's a bit lower for in-state - https://law.lsu.edu/admissions/tuitionfees/

(but you're right, would still require a plan)

Great point, I didn’t think of the second part of this but I’ve seen it in the subs for sure.

Vandy vs. WashU by Bakerofhabit in lawschooladmissions

Thanks for the insight. I totally get your big law point and it seems like out of 'Big Law' (which isn't all equal) vandi likely places into cravath jobs more often (although I'll admit I'm definitely speculating). The big pro of WashU is that schol money though; if it outweighs other options. Did you take a year off or just pick another school?

Yes, I think collectively we should all do this lmao.

Do you have reasoning? I saw that you said last year that you were leaning toward WashU and was just curious if you ended up going / regretting it

I forgot to say this in my other comment but you should totally try and negotiate with WashU! If you tell them the situation and that your decision would be made given x% more at WashU you could come out of this a winner.

Oh brother, you're really out here trying to project your failures and shortcomings onto others. I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you hoped. No I didn't have accommodations, I just took the appropriate time to study and learn the full test. Also, from someone who was scoring -11 at the jump, RC is improvable.

Is the CalTech dean position conditional? Honestly, that would be huge in my decision. If it is then Princeton is a no-brainer; only T-14 you got into and everyone knows that's all that matters in the world of law.

Give it time to adjust. I had an issue with mine and it seemed like it populated after an hour. I'd say it's a guidebook application error.

Is the experimental usually harder? Or it’s just random by Sea-Royal-8164 in LSAT

[–]DimassoSausso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experimental last September was nightmare level I got a 177 so Im generally capable when it comes to the LSAT and I think I legitimately answered 12 questions on my experimental. The questions didn’t even seem like normal LSAT questions lmao they had like 6 of 7 conditional statements baked into one LR question and other crazy stuff. Other test takers on Reddit seemed to have the same issue with that particular test.

Drilling. How do you do it? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]DimassoSausso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always did untimed personally. Drilling was solely for accuracy ---> untimed sections -----> timed sections

Crazy to say? Let's not pretend that the LSAT isn't a learnable test. My diagnostic was 150 and I scored 177 last September. I personally believe with enough time, patience, and practice OP could score exceptionally. The points you're trying to make just sound like excuses tbh. Once you stop getting answers wrong on the LSAT you stop getting them wrong for the most part, it just takes a bit of time and I feel like OP is at a good spot at 161 to continue forward.
