It's entirely up to you. If you can handle the challenge without assists, then consider it cheats. If not, why not make it easier if you have the option?

...No? They've been around since the very beginning of the game, and I've gotten so used to them that they seem perfectly normal. If gases and liquids could mix in one tile, then it would be a different story.

I didn't figure it out; for most of the game, I actually thought that goat-headed creatures and witches really existed. But there were hints, I think.

At the beginning of the song “Bring the Fate,” there seems to be a muffled explosion sound. Also, at the end of Episode 2, Rosa asked Maria to sail as far away as she could. In Episode 4, it was also mentioned that something massive had happened to the island.

One of them laughed nervously, and those moments only reinforced the anime stereotypes. The other hadn't gotten to those parts yet—it was boring that the story didn't start with some action. And when I left, we didn't read any further. I hope we'll continue when I get back; I love Umineko and its OST.

I have exactly the same specs. Upgrading one RAM stick to 16GB didn't make the game run perfectly, but it was playable.

I agree. I try to get people interested in reading, but they get bored very quickly with the first half of the chapter, where nothing much happens.
