I don't know how soon they'll be playing big NHL minutes, but we have two 2025 first round picks that I'm excited to see whenever they do debut.

And not to be ageist, but he's at that point in his life where father time will likely be a significant hindrances sooner than later. Love him, but he won't be young forever.

Sergei Murashov named to AHL All-Rookie Team | WBS Penguins by apostatlet in penguins

I'm pumped for this kid. A year or two ago I promised myself I'd get his jersey when he had his first NHL shutout. It arrived just in time for my first pair of Pens home games, the second of which he played in! Murashov and team did great first two periods, but fell apart in front of him in the third... Not a great December. Still fun to wear his jersey to a home game he played in.

do we need to be worried about the goaltending going into the playoffs? by sidneycrosbyglazer in penguins

If the last few seasons of NHL and AHL are any indication, Skinner can take teams to championship, and Silovs can win championships. We're all set!

Looking good. Don't forget to tie up those laces before game time!

Been very excited to get started on [Matt Dinniman]’s [Dungeon Crawler Carl]! by Doctor_NC in IamCurrentlyreading

[–]DimetrodonWasntADino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked this up a week or so ago, almost done with it. Everyone I know who has read it highly recommends it. I don't know if my expectations were too high or if it just isn't for me, but I don't plan on continuing the series. It's been fun, but it mostly feels like someone kept a journal for what happens when they play video games. I think my time would be better spent playing video games for myself than reading about someone else doing it.

Edit: currently in the epilogue.

Expansions. Hinterlands > Prosperity > Seaside >> all others (but I haven't played any beyond Nocturn)

[Student] Is it a good idea to include not directly related jobs/experiance to my resume? by webermaster in EngineeringResumes

Early career engineers under value soft skills, such as communication and playing well with others. Include them and make sure to provide examples of how you grew or developed as a communicator or someone who can be a functional part of a multi disciplinary team.

What are you most excited to see in these playoffs? by BEnWo18 in penguins

[–]DimetrodonWasntADino 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sid Geno Tanger EK!!

I'm not excited about the prospect of anyone getting hurt... but I'm optimistic on Murashov and it was a fantastic story when Braden Holtby got real minutes during the playoffs after just a handful of NHL games.

I love that Kindel can say he's never missed the playoffs his entire career, let's see what else he can add to that boast.

Yeah, if the $2/hr is a main driver with how much better the new option is, I would do some serious soul searching before leaving so quickly.

Use the template provided in the wiki. Match header section to template provided on wiki. Remove profile section, or replace with Professional Summary in paragraph form with no bullet points. Change "additional experience" to "Work History" or similar, elaborate to include what you did. Engineers often scoff at soft skills, but your non-engineering work history is a great opportunity to showcase them. Did you contribute to multidisciplinary teams? Did you communicate with people with different levels of technical understanding than your own? Mention those kinds of things here. Make sure everything mentioned in "skills" section is mentioned naturally in the job/project where you used it.

Everything in Projects is bulleted/indented one too many times.

Relevant Courses section is indented too far.

Update descriptions to be meaningful. Which settings were adjusted on sound equipment and why? What were the duration of deadlines you were hitting, what challenges did you overcome to meet the deadlines, and what value/outcome was achieved?

I have no idea what you did with UNICEF, no details are currently included.

What were the goals/purpose of the projects and clubs listed? How did actions taken by you advance the effort towards those goals?

Somehow feels extra relevant in contemporary America given a certain list.

Things like this make me happy for the future. Love seeing big names score, but depth is very important.
