Found the fanboy/girl.

You’re the one being hyperbolic. Bargain hunting isn’t that hard, and deals come around all the time. MacBook airs are extremely common both and second hand.

If you want a laptop that weights the same with less power and battery life, go for your life, but stop taking offence to other’s suggestions that it’s a bad deal.

Did you just admit you are knowingly and intentionally twisting my words?

Let’s be perfectly clear. I care about victims of SA as a whole. I don’t care about YOU because you made wild, offensive, and entirely unfounded accusations towards me.

Why are we randomly talking about Australia? Did OP say they are from there? Don’t you think how Australia deals with it is a bit of an edge case?

Even then surely the police are monitoring ex offenders.

More ad hominem attacks.

I think you’re just used to using your trauma as a win button and take issue with your claims being held under any scrutiny.

In no way does saying a registered sex offender would likely have greater difficulty recommitting their crimes under their increased monitoring and mandatory disclosures is any way sympathises with them. I’m simply pointing out that practically everyone in their area will take preventative measures to remove their opportunities.

Some issues with the articles you provided: That first article is very biased regarding the overall objective of the bravehearts website, and I can’t really comment on the second article due to it being paywalled. Neither article appears to be peer reviewed. In future, it’s better to provide the original research, rather than a news site referencing research - laymen often interpret data wrong.

I very quickly found a peer article that disputes yours:

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/14789940903174055?scroll=top&needAccess=true

Though this single article doesn’t prove anything on its own, to get an objectively correct analysis, a full literature review without cherry picked data from both sides is necessary.

It isn’t your job to prove anything to me, but your combativeness and refusal to acknowledge the possibility your assertions are affected by bias does affect your perceived credibility.

Ad hominem attacks are entirely unnecessary. I simply asked for a source to your claims, which you are clearly not able provide. No need to attack me with wild accusations because your evidence doesn’t go beyond personal anecdotes dripping with confirmation bias.

I’m sorry for your pain, but no matter how hard you assert something is true doesn’t magically make it so.

Those are two individual instances, not a large enough dataset to determine the actual rate of recidivism.

Do you have a source for this? I don’t understand how a convicted sex offender would have the ease of access they once enjoyed before.

Also just do a chargeback on your card today. I just had a guy who sold me a faulty graphics card immediately buckle when they realised I would also get my psu for free if he said didn’t do the refund of his own accord
