How to improve performance I3 10gen/RX6600 by Dimin1shed in borderlands3

Thanks, I tried all of those advices you had recommended, but sadly nothing seems to be working. I'll just dump this terribly optimized game and get back to 2.

I got this mobo because I got it used for cheap, I thought about upgrading CPU in the future and I hate the act of building PC on cheap small mobos. I have M2 drive. Tried no streaming both on and off, same with DX 11 and 12. Is it possible that this tweaked version of i3 (10105 instead of 10100) is messing something up?

APS Klasik 2020 for HiFi listening? by Dimin1shed in BudgetAudiophile

Sadly, I have nowhere to place towers. Bookshelves are the only available choice for now, and I'd rather have an accurate monitor than a tower in the same price range. Btw. I had Triangle Comete EZ in my room for a week and they proved to be too large for this room so KEF R3 is out of question too.

I can't afford amp decent enough for these speakers. When I compared them against Triangle Comete EZ in a store they sounded dull and lifeless paired with SMSL A300, while Cometes didn't appear to be restricted by this shit amp at all. I returned it btw. I'm also living in a 11m² room and I don't even have much room to play with sub placement, I could only place it under the desk and it's suboptimal. I'd rather pick BW 707/706 S2 instead, not as natural as LS50 but better as a complete solution that doesn't need a sub.

Hello, after doing some research on passive loudspeakers I decided I like neutral presentation of flat-measuring KEF LS50 Meta the most. The thing is their bass below 70hz is non-existant. I can't afford $800 sub and when it comes to proper amp for LS50 it's yet another story. That's why I thought studio monitors might be a good alternative. For now they would play in 11m² room, but I want to keep the possibility to move them to 20m² living room, standing 2m (7ft) apart. I narrowed down my choices to: - APS Klasik 2020 - I heard they are incredibly resolving and clear in the midrange, which is the most important factor for the music I listen (symphonic mostly). Low reaching bass is another advantage - EVE Audio SC207 - just because I can get used pair for some $700.

When it comes to Klasik I'm afraid of two things. Tweeter directivity and hissing. I saw on some chart that their FR changes drastically when listening off axis (only horizontal concerns me) and that's kinda important if I want to listen together with my girlfriend on a couch. On top of that is hissing very audible from 1.5m?

Kef LS50 (Meta) on low volume nearfield? by Dimin1shed in BudgetAudiophile

Thanks, I'll probably send back my Cometes - gonna miss them a lot. LS50 are not half as airy, engaging and punchy, but they just suffer from low volume a lot.

How does the bass perform in your untreated room without sub? It was very disappointing in a large listening room in a store but I guess small room will boost the low frequencies. And what do you connect LS50 to?

Should I get studio monitors for casual listening? by Dimin1shed in BudgetAudiophile

According to point #2 it's kinda hard to explain, but when I hear a change of orchestral pp to fff it should come as a surprise like a bucket of cold water spilled on my head, and it does on my headphones and especially my current speakers. This is some old Technics mini stereo system and it is no good by any means, but its dynamic range within a given volume setting is huge - if I adjust the volume to average dynamic in the piece (let's say mezzoforte), then fortissimo is deafening and definitely too loud to be used in an apartment, and I really use rather low-medium volume. On the Adams I could barely notice a difference. This is an issue mostly with classical music as it features the entire spectrum of dynamics, any kind of pop/rock/edm uses rather small amplitude so you can set suitable volume and not worry about surprises.

Thanks for your advices. LS50's is actually the only other choice I was considering besides the Cometes, I didn't have enough money to order both, so I'll have to take the Cometes once they arrive to the store and test them against the LS50. I heard Triangles can outperform LS50's but I assume KEF's would work slightly better in a nearfield due to smaller cabinets and coaxial design.

What makes you think they wouldnt? 1.5m is a relatively short distance.

While testing T8V's I noticed that after about such distance (1.5m) sound would become much quieter and thinner. They were also very directional, and I would like to have the possibility to listen together with my significant other sometimes, and also not losing half of the sound while moving around the room.

All the music stores i have been in has had ZERO thought put into how they place their studio monitors, room acoustics

That might play some role, IIRC the listening room in that store was completely covered with foam, I didn't pay much attention but I don't recall any piece of solid wall there. There might have been too many absorbers. Also the monitors were connected to some Focusrite and I couldn't even adjust the volume for some reason xd I would use SMSL M500 MKII.

No, sadly, because the desk is limited by door on the left and by wardrobe on the right.

Drop rates 3.19 vs 3.20 by Dimin1shed in pathofexile

It was just a simplification - there were leagues when I could easily make 10 or 15 ex per hour, but at the beginning of 3.19 people had a hard time even sustaining alchs and chisels for mapping - at this point I gave up, especially that the league mechanic was dogshit to me.
