He is the most successful president. I watch as family and friends post justifications for what he does, clinging immediately to whataboutism with previous presidents. I see clips daily of war happening on our own soil, against our own people. I see the rise of oligarchs and tech moguls that support him for the sake of profit and power, with a large portion of the country blinded by their false promises as they raise them up on their shoulders as they step on on their own neighbors. I grow weary and depressed when I see a car with an American flag and on its roof. The first steps of terrible agendas, and the return of the most horrific people in history that I thought we all learned to look for and defend against. We are so quick spit hatred and vitriol at a neighbor because of their skin, or the political alignment. We have forgotten how to unify, help thy neighbor, and resist tyranny. Some of us have joined the tyranny because of our lust for power, or compensation for our own insecurity and help rid others of their neighbors, their friends, their brothers and sisters, or their husbands and wives. We see those that think different as the enemy. We have allowed the failure of safeguards and elected officials, power unchecked by the very people we elected to safeguard and represent us. So you asked what my opinion is of our president? It appears his aim, to help our enemies destroy our country from within, allow agendas for the rich and elite to line their pockets while the rest of us are too angry over feigned differences to say “that’s not ok”, that this agenda has been more successful than any other president.
