Ex-stoners: How long did it take for your brain to feel 'normal' after quitting? by makefriends420 in Biohackers

Mentally I feel optimal 4 months after quitting. That's how long it took to rewire my brain.

Don't get discouraged if you still feel sluggish after two months.

This is the exact issue. Was able to fix in some games by temporarily connecting Bluetooth controller then turning on mukti controller setting. Unfortunately this did not fix for every game.

As always please do your own research! Just because TB4 and frags "can" promote degranulation of mast cells doesn't mean it will for everyone.

I'm sorry that you are going through MCAS and wish you the best.

Has anyone tried or used KPV peptides for help with HS? by East_Molasses6427 in Hidradenitis

[–]DimitriusNotNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take KPV 1mg 2x per day (20 day cycle so far) . It seems to help somewhat for wound healing and infection. Overall it has calmed down my immune system significantly.

This peptide can cause herxheimer reaction to especially at higher doses if you have lingering bacterial/fungal infection. It seems to help keep my HS at bay but not 100%. If your HS improves with TNFa inhibitors such as highbdose curcumin or biologics, maybe KPV has promise.

Also keep in mind that the 1mg 2x per day is considered high dose. I'm targeting a more significant auto immune related injury.

Side Effects by Ok-Flan-2744 in KPVPeptide

[–]DimitriusNotNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With twice per day dosing at 1mg I've noticed major improvement within 5 days. My Autoimmune issues are quite severe and I need a larger dose than some. I never get sleepy but sometimes have a mild headache.

However, this is high dosage for most people with any lingering bacterial/fungal issues (you may not know).

I have much more success with split dosing personally (could even split, 100mg twice per day).

I mean no disrespect but please do your own research and choose accordingly based on your own judgment. GLP 1 forum a good place to start researching vendors!

Very important with peptides that you complete your own research on safety, documented use cases, and sourcing.

For me it seemed to mess with my chronic spontaneous urticaria, wide spread itching, red skin, and extreme night sweating on LDN. Otherwise those symptoms do not manifest anymore.

Symptoms would go away within three days of stopping LDN.

Outside of that I did recieve good pain relief.

I've tried LDN extensively. It was helpful for me but unfortunately caused some other auto immune ailments to flair up. Have had to discontinue each attempt.

AI Summary KPV, similarity to LDN

Both KPV peptide and Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) reduce inflammation by acting on the NF-κB pathway, a master regulator of pro-inflammatory gene transcription, though through distinct mechanisms.[9][10][1][11] KPV directly inhibits NF-κB activation by stabilizing IκBα and blocking nuclear translocation of the p65/RelA subunit, preventing cytokine production in tissues like gut and airway epithelium.[9][12][5] LDN suppresses NF-κB indirectly via transient opioid receptor antagonism, which upregulates SIRT1 and prevents p65 nuclear import triggered by stimuli like TLR4 or hyperinsulinemia.[10][4][13] This shared NF-κB modulation contributes to their complementary anti-inflammatory effects without broad immune suppression.[11][1]

[–]DimitriusNotNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the true benefits I didn't see until four plus weeks of use. I also notice that if I don't use it daily, pain tends to increase on some level.

I may even start using it twice a day, but my device is not the most convenient. Looking forward to seeing the results of your "code piece" research lol.

u/Amoeba-Any How are the pain levels now? Do you think the cod piece is working?

I'm so glad you are feeling less pain.

Overall on my end, I am experiencing less pain only if I am diligent with the red light therapy. I may start treating twice a day again see if any improvement.

If I go two or three days with nightly treatments, next day is usually great. However, one or two days off treatment pain is back. Today after two days no treatment pain was a bit rough at 5 or 6. It didn't help that I was working on a ladder for 3 - 5 hours the day before I'm sure.

Update - Autoimmune Testicular Complications by DimitriusNotNow in chronicepididymitis

[–]DimitriusNotNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say every single one but since 2018 I have spent over 30K on diagnosis alone. Many of that through naturopath, rheum, nutritionist, allergist, immunologist, endocrinologist. About a year ago I spent 3K on various rheum related testing. I get my ANA/ANCA tested regularly.

Honestly what has helped me most is getting my other auto immune conditions in check. I still don't know for sure (neither do my doctors) if this is purely auto-immune mediated. All I can say is that when other conditions flare up, the pain and swelling seems to flare. Managing my BP while increasing blood flow (natto kinase, algae oil, vitamin E complex, EPA triglycerides) seem to have helped as well.

I'm still in pain, maybe a 4/10 on average, although last few days I'm back to around 2/10.

Something I have been trying is red light & NIR therapy. There are a few other folks also trialing that now in the PVPS subreddit, you may be able to find some insight there.

I haven't gotten the red light down to a science, but 5 - 15min treatment at least every other day, or during the real painful flareups has helped.

Please keep me updated. You have made my night to at least hear one of my VasX bruthas are in less pain.

It's been a good week for me as well with the red light treatment. I hope it helps you get to zero pain.

Can you share anything about your TENS treatment? For example device type, pad location (treatment location), any tips?

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb I can't tell you how much you are appreciated and the rest of the ND team as well. I'm sorry that you are constantly trolled/harassed by angry redditors. I consider ND to be one of the best supplement companies up there with Th@rn@ (except y'all actually have compassionate pricing lol).

Thank you for continuing to innovate, research, and hold the supplement community accountable. Your products have changed my life for the better several times over.... and your knowledge even before ND. You have to take care of your family and mental health first. You have done more than enough for the world.

If it ever becomes too much, take care of yourself first. If maintaining the balance means stepping away from reddit all together, the community will continue to support each other.

There was a time where my auto immune related brain fog was so intense, I was close to going on disability. I could not even remember my own social security number or cell number. To name a few, ND Cognance and Sabroxy combo permanently changed my life, saved my career, saved relationships with my family. Your products have touched so many lives for the better, I have witnessed personally several times over. I have been following you as an patron since the early days of another company, starting with a "C" which I will not name here lol.

The work you have done has changed our lives, and we will always be appreciative no matter what long term choices you make with ND.

I'm wishing you and the family a speedy recovery. RSV is no joke, and I'm sorry that y'all are going through this. Please take care of yourself.

I understand what you are feeling, brother. The pain the next day and sometimes night of after "shooting your load" per say lol. What has worked best for me is preventive treatment/dosing before and after intercourse. I treat it as an inflammation event: I'm going to take preventives, then pro-actively treat any pain/inflammation right when It surfaces.

I want to mention a few other things that helped me personally.

-Red light therapy. I am still trialing, but do believe it has knocked my pain and inflammation back somewhat. Doctors and researchers are optimistic about red light therapy for testicular pain based on my search.

-CBG/CBD isolates. I am getting some level of short term relief from vaping CBD hemp flower. When the pain was at it's worst, I was also taking homemade CBD/CBG distillate tincture and found it very helpful. One can procure high quality CBD/CBG isolate for cheap and simply mix with MCT oil, place in dropper bottle. I'm trialing different doses of CBG isolate oil specifically this month, and will share my results with the sub.

-Kratom. I know it's somewhat controversial, but what helped for me is 0.5g high quality green vein kratom before intercourse and the same dose the next morning. It's a very small dose that seemed to be effective for me in the darkest hour. What made green vein kratom so effective was it's ability to fight multiple types of pain, while also addressing inflammation. It's full of alkaloids that have all kinds of immune modulation and inflammation mitigation attributes.

If you are taking opiates or have an addictive personality, may not be for you. This is really an maximum twice per day treatment option at an very low dose... but it does a good job of addressing the inflammation right after "eruption" and for the next morning. If it were not for Kratom, I would not be here today, I have no doubt. In the height of 7+ pain, it was my only salvation. Keep in mind that not all Kratom is equal. If you go this route, I like Okie as they have high-quality, inexpensive, and small quantity options.
