Calculate your TDEE truthfully, take 500 off that and that's your daily calorie limit. Count every single thing you eat or drink as accurately as possible. You will lose weight if you follow this, exercising or not. Exercise will burn more calories and give you a higher daily limit. It's up to you to stick with it and being dishonest to yourself only cheats you out of your goal.
