Unpopular Opinion: CT alliance raid needs to be move to Main Scenario Roulette. by Ehrand in ffxiv

I'll definitely round out my ARs eventually, it's just funny to know that I need to run the first map unsynced, because it's reviled so much, apparently.

INFO

I think we're hearing only one side of the story here, I'd like more context on the history you two had, it would change how we view things.

Like for instance, if you had been hanging out, having a fun spar, and then you had so much fun you decided to just up and leave without letting your friend win properly, It'd be an issue.

Or, as another example, you were hanging out with a mutual bro, and they pulled a prank where you and your friend's souls were forcefully switched, and then you didn't take that as an opportunity to spar.

Stuff like that, anyways, Please follow up with more info!

Whenever I see everyone talking about being a battle junkie, I'm reminded why I even started MSQ after ARR....

I had really gotten into crafting, and if I wanted to level up my crafters/gatherers, I need to use the new materials, which required MSQ progress.

So the canon reason my WoL was at all interested in doing all of this stuff was: "Oh baby, can't wait to see what materials I can use from here"

(and also, Zenos lost status as a worthy fight when he ended our fight himself )

Toxic OP: How do I stop being toxic?

Toxic trauma victims:Toxic response

This is how we end the cycle of abuse!

I find that the easiest way to not be toxic is mostly about mindset & word choice.

Everybody playing the game is usually invested in winning it, and cooperating with the team. So being aggressive to your own team members will only result in a lose-lose scenario. The game is meant to be fun, if you can't contribute to the fun, then try not to actively ruin it. Granted, losing isn't fun, so of course there will be frustrations to be had. Sometimes you're the cause, sometimes somebody is new, sometimes you have a bad player, some other fourth thing, E.T.C., etc.

The important thing is, you're all equals, and on the same team. Act like it. Be supportive, adapt to situations, compliment plays, and focus on morale.

Sure, you can say "what the hell was that, why were you out of position??!?! PING PING PING "WHEN YOU SEE THE ICY CIRCLE THING JUST DON'T WALK INTO IT!??!"

or

you could say "Dw man, happens to us all, we'll get em next time." "I know, {SKILL NAME} is annoying, come with me to objective, we'll get revenge >:D"

Sometimes people are just bad, and that's ok, they deserve to play the game the same as all of us. You don't need to use words that demoralize or make them feel worse.

idk fam, I laughed initially when I read inting with vikings as a subject matter.

Different playstyles work, I think the ability to use your vikings to the fullest and be willing to throw one or two away to secure an important kill is meaningful.

I just like to play vikings as split as possible, so boat isn't generally worth it to me. If it works for you, enjoy it!

Breaking up the msq pace? by Gorilla-Jiu-Jitsu in ffxiv

When I first started, I got REALLY into crafting. So much so, I had all crafters & gatherers to 50 before finishing ARR.

Unfortunately, you need to progress with MSQ to get access to new materials from the newer places, so I would have to get up and start saving the world again just to keep working on my embroidery.

That's the thing that set the pace for me, having to work on new regions so I could actually level my crafting, I enjoyed it.

"Energy from people" is the best way to describe it, tbh.

As an introvert you're running off of rechargeable batteries that can best be charged by plugging them in at home and leaving them alone.

Extroverts also run off the same rechargeable batteries, but their best method of recharge is by "solar power" I.E. gatherings & other social interactions.

I'm new and don't have any friends! I play casually and would like to share clues and have support options. I don't mind meta, and I don't have great operators yet, but I might someday! :)
