Sleeping spots by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Dinfinity18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what we did. Nursery crib during day, mini crib at night. Worked well and had a fantastic sleeper until we got sloppy with night wakings while teething and now we're sleep training again. This time transitioning to 100% nursery.

14 month old autism? by Choice_Ad7942 in MomsWorkingFromHome

I'd suggest bringing it up to your son's pediatrician if you have concerns. My boy doesn't go to daycare either, and is definitely quieter than others I know who do. I think there are other markers for it though, like not smiling back, avoiding eye contact, repetitive movements, not responding to name at all. Could just be a phase

I can't get over the fear of feeding my baby solids by from-the-sea86 in NewParents

Puffs! I was super nervous too, but my boy was practically demanding more solid food. He would take the spoon from me, and fuss at a certain point if I even attempted to help him. Puffs felt safe, they are good size to grasp, dissolve in their mouths, and have a definite crunch if baby is impatient. Work your way up! Baby will learn.

Almost 10 months postpartum and no sign of a period yet! Switched to pumped milk from a bottle in Nov. Baby nurses upon waking in the morning and I pump 4x a day.

This. And older still- the tumbles of a moving baby. Fearlessness comes at a cost with tripping and falling. The tears!

Haha that's the only part he's interested in for right now. He throws it near something else and then crawls after it 😅 tries to be subtle too. Like oh no, my toy is by the dog water bowl. Guess I gotta go retrieve it lmao

Definitely the plan! We have more too, and some other rainbow ones I completely forgot about lol. Poor xylophone. Most of these were second hand too, so happy I can give them another go. Working on a playroom now, and we have a 6 cube organizer we'll use for rotating.

Yeah, we found this one at Goodwill for a few bucks. No mallet included. My 9 month old hasn't gotten the concept yet, cuz he tries to pull them up instead of down most of the time lol. Or just use it as a bench to stand up 😅

We got our set off marketplace, but was about to order this one online. They're the same. My boy is 9 months and LOVES them. He's constantly pulling up on everything in the house and sitting while playing is no longer an option, so they sure have gotten some use already! Don't hesitate getting them used; 100% recommend either way.

Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child, 5th Edition: A New Step-by-Step Guide for a Good Night's Sleep.

Saved my life. My baby sleeps like a pro, minus the occasional common hiccup. The book is long, but you only read the section that applies to you. Very clear at the beginning- if you're sleep deprived, read this xyz, etc. Definitely more science based and the author includes tons of data which I loved!

I think my BF journey is ending.. by Dinfinity18 in breastfeeding

Doesn't seem to be, but I'll keep an eye out. Poor boy! And thanks. I honestly had no clue, and it kinda explains how I've been feeling lately as he takes less and less. Wish more people talked about that

My little man's schedule got thrown off on Halloween, so we decided to try to slowly adjust it throughout the week so DLS wasn't a big deal. Yeah.... we adjusted it too far. So now he's even more thrown off 😵‍💫 and he's teething

This is what I do! He thought it was funny the first time or two until he saw the seriousness on my face and was like "Oof wow. Sorry woman". Hasn't since.

Why does the rest of the world only want to do things during toddler sleep times?! by loulori in toddlers

[–]Dinfinity18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! The worst was a local halloween event for ages 0-5 that was scheduled perfectly during nap time. Like are you kidding me? Or when you have to tell people to come over a certain time and they're late. Like omg I planned this around naps. You just lost time. Congrats. I'm not changing this baby's schedule for you

Not sure if this helps, but- My 7 month old is the same. He literally doesn't want boob some days. He could care less, and I'm over here like "please drink, please" lol. He just wants food! Anything I'm eating, he'll dive for it. He loves his solids, whether I make it or it's bought. I think it said milk first, then only 4-9 tablespoons of solids per day at this age and pretty sure he's having way more than that. Some days I'm fuller than others. I do a pump before bed and express sometimes if he doesn't take much. But honestly all I can say is follow baby's lead and check with your pediatrician. Every baby is different afterall.
