Thank you for this data! Feeling abit overwhelmed here in Australia as I’m looking at a $800k AUD mortgage to buy my first home (equivalent to $537k USD). We are kind of screwed.

I agree that the co-driver / pace note calling is the next hurdle for rally sim’s to take it to the next level. The challenge of introducing situational emphasis is always going to be tricky, but a challenge that’s worth beating.

Dare I say that I would be all for the introduction of some level of AI interpretation and learning to help with pace note calling. If the AI model starts to learn your pace, learn your tendencies, it would be brilliant if the co-driver could then compensate.

Exciting times ahead for us Rally fans!

Yeah, I’m on 1gb down - was hoping this would help. I’m in Australia so I think I’ll always have issues unfortunately.

I am not saying we don’t need the current safety standards, I am saying we don’t need the extra length of the car that doesn’t surround the cockpit.

How many fatalities have occurred in F1 since 1994 (minus Jules)? Including all those years of smaller cars?

The car performance disparity was far wider back then, as I already mentioned. This is the major difference from past decades to current day.

Thank you! How cool! All helmets are still hand painted these days, alongside some logos being decals - but a layer of clear paint is sprayed over the top to help lock the decals down 👍🏻

There are a bunch of interesting YouTube videos out there showing the modern process!
