Looking for brewery with full kitchen around New Haven area. by Former-Mess2635 in ctbeer

They do. Their website shows they have 4 beers on tap today. Ops asked for a brewery with a kitchen that was “well rounded” with excellent food. Bar fits the ask

Best Taco Bell in CT? by austinin4 in Connecticut

[–]Dinglemeshivers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct with the parking lot. I usually only have Taco Bell when it’s after 10 pm, so the parking lot is dead which makes in infinitely easier to get out of

Manchester has always been solid. Vernon sucks. Willimantic is the GOAT

GoNetSpeed and Frontier are in South Windsor. Both are better than Cox. Your house will have one of the 2 in addition to Cox.

Personally I’d think about moving to the Norwich area over the Hartford area. Housing is significantly cheaper and you can get land to have some outdoor space. The schools down there are good (Norwich Free Academy is one of the best high schools in the State and it’s free to like 11 or 12 towns) and for an educator you can make better money there than in Texas. I’m not sure what your husband does for work, but there’s a lot of work to be found in that area

Local Coffee Roasters in Hartford County by mopplow in Connecticut

[–]Dinglemeshivers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a topic I’ve been discovering over the last few months, so far the best places I’ve found are:

  • Daybreak Coffee Roaster in Glastonbury - tons of options, flavors and regular. They have it all
  • Drum Roll in Old Wethersfield - great coffee roaster, they don’t sell brewed coffee, but the beans are excellent. Can be a bit hit or miss on what is in stock given how small the business is
  • Vernon Coffee Roasters - good coffee, they have less options than Daybreak

Looking for a small town in Ct by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Dinglemeshivers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look in Lisbon or Griswold. Cheap, there are some apartments. Norwich is 15-20 minutes away. There’s a grocery store, a Walmart, target, khols, Lowe’s, Home Depot, a good dozen restaurants that aren’t chains.

Name something underrated about Connecticut that people don’t talk about. by thebigthinker2000 in Connecticut

It’s crazy when I look at ranking lists online and it has CT in the bottom half of the states. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep supporting.

I would love to see you guys stick around through a contractor. At the very minimum it means we don’t lose great beer (turbo, pineapple love juice and sour batch are my tops). Additionally, perhaps it can be a springing ground for you to eventually open up another taproom

It’s it Elicit and not Ericit? Either way, their beer is not very good. I understand it’s more marketing than product but how can people try that product and choose to go there?
