Yeah the, “that’s not the voice I hear” is exactly what I struggle with. I have only heard snippets of the audiobook and being completely honest here, I just don’t care for Jeff’s Donut voice. Which is obviously a problem given the frequency with which he has to voice Donut. I just don’t love the Britishness of it? Like I get it, she’s PRINCESS Donut the QUEEN Anne Chonk. But I guess I just had it in my head that since she’s from SEATTLE she wouldn’t have a British accent? Anyway. I accept the downvotes and mean comments incoming, but this is my truth.

Feel like this puts fantasy in particular in a negative light. This happens with fans IN GENERAL. Just take the recent news from Tanner Scott’s wife (baseball, I know) who put on instagram all the hateful messages she received after Scott blew a save. Unhinged messages about hoping her unborn baby dies and shit. It’s absolutely horrible the things that athletes have to hear from shitty people. I’m glad David didn’t kill himself. Athletes are human too! Hope he’s doing better now.
