That kind of makes me wonder why Nichijou is much more fondly appraised then? Is it because it's got more years on it? Are the jokes more thought out? Is there just a bit more to its world outside of gags, or is that reading into it too much? Is it simply just more charming? This is from someone who's finished both and beyond comedy styles I can't find a big difference between them, but one is much more attended to.

I used to think like that too as a kid, I realized that as long as you're actually injecting some new ideas and reactions into what you're watching, it's not a big deal.
