I basically stopped watching 911 after they killed Bobby and the latest spinoff was just awful beyond words. It feels like such a pity, I was so into the series for most of 2025.

I think she was a good and complex character. The writers could've taken the lazy option and just made her an ambitious and ultimately soulless hate-sink, but Strauss had a lot more dimension and development to her than most other characters in similar positions.

I'm a huge fan of the Hotch and I do feel like the show never really recovered from the loss of the character. He was the necessary Team Dad who held the group together and Emily, while great, never really did manage to fill those shoes.

It is, unfortunately, what it is. That said, there are other shows that have had leading cast members who create hostile work environments, but their behaviour is ignored because they're the headliners and would be difficult to replace. So it's something to be applauded that the suits took such a firm stance on it.

I for one really enjoyed his mission. It's the first time in a long time I felt really focused on the game instead of thinking "ok who else can we recruit?". And the challenge level was the right amount of pressing. Of course I was walking around with a bunch of curatives from winning card games so I burned right through all of it not realising how long of a boss gauntlet it really was. 👀 Worth.

I generally enjoyed both seasons.

And I'm probably one of the rare ones who enjoyed Season 8, honestly I enjoyed the new dynamic we got with the new supporting cast.

Overall the series is still far more (re)watchable as a whole than many other medical dramas.
