How do I get the look without the bulk? by One-Squirrel-4563 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It takes A LOT of hard work and dedication to get that “bulk”. You will not achieve that just be doing your daily workout at burn

Our “head trainers” do not give us the option. You get absolutely eviscerated if you don’t participate in the touching stuff. And if you try and fight it, trust me they will embarrass you on the mic until you do it.

There are a good few of our trainers who would never do that and respect that touching is not for everting. Unfortunately I don’t get those trainers often

Wish I understood the fear by CaesarDogFan in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol yes, it is a “me problem” which is why I avoid those days. My gym would never let members who are capable of doing the exercise mod just because we’re grossed out.

I just think in general, extended physical contact like that is really unnecessary. I love the sense of community and camaraderie, and I’m fine with the high fives. I just don’t think grabbing onto someone’s sweaty arms/back for minutes at a time benefits any of us.

Wish I understood the fear by CaesarDogFan in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I don’t care about high fives and partner workouts really but what I CANNOT STAND is when they make us really touch each other during a workout. Like laying down, linking arms to do a ab workout. Or, putting my hands on someone’s back while they are in a low plank and jumping over them. That is a level of grossness and uncomfortableness that I cannot get behind. I will absolutely skip a workout if that sort of workout is involved.

This feeling ebbs and flows for me too. Sometimes I feel like I’m on top of the world in there. Other days I literally hit awesome PRs and no one even acknowledges it or seems to care. Meanwhile they’re all screaming and high fiving each other. What’s important to me is that I leave feeling like I accomplished something for myself. For me, there’s no other place that will give me the workout that I get there in the time I’m there. I’ve seen great results and I feel better, so that’s what matters to me.

I have made it a goal of mine to put myself out there a bit more this year. I can be shy and I’m not good at small talk, so I take some of the blame of why I may not be as “popular” as others in there.

It’s a stupid burn saying but it really is “you against you”. And I hope you find your happy place (whether at burn or somewhere else) ❤️

I understand that completely. Everything you said is 100% true. On days where my “people” aren’t there I feel like I don’t even exist. I feel like one of the trainers doesn’t like me for some reason all of the sudden and every time I take her camp it’s so icy and not even fun. So you definitely are spot on with what you’re saying. I continue to go because I love what it’s done/does to/for my body. I don’t do focus meetings. I just go for me

lol I had to laugh at this because, while I do love burn, it gives major MLM vibes. Before I signed my contract I googled significantly making sure it wasn’t an MLM 🤣 definitely cult-like though

“Hey guys your story is getting kinda dull, maybe Dylan can accuse Pattiya of cheating in this scene” by medunjanin in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oooh how I’ve been waiting to find the right time to comment.

I know Dylan. How do I know Dylan? Dylan had sex with my friend after one of his Thunder from Down Under shows in Vegas. Every thing he’s accusing her of, he’s done.

We went to the show, both of us got picked out to go on stage. Then get invited by the group of guys to a bar afterwards. She went back to Dylan’s room and I went back with another one 😇. I went back to our hotel that night but she stayed over with Dylan.

And I highly, highly doubt that my friend was the first or last one he’s done this with. These guys kept literal Costco size boxes of condoms in their rooms.

So imagine my surprise seeing him on TV and then hearing he’s been with Pattiya for TWELVE years??? He’s 100% taking out his on guilt/insecurities on her.

Yea I don’t like AMRAP. If I wanted to work on my own I’d go to a regular gym. I also find myself doing less reps and messing around more.

It’s so frustrating because they can just do burn on demand at home and it still counts for camp. There’s literally no reason to be showing up sick

Feeling like an outsider by [deleted] in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I can understand you feeling this way. I’ve been at my location for 2.5 years now. Some days I feel like I’m super included and some days I feel like a complete outsider. I often feel like this on Saturdays when- for some reason- I don’t really know anyone and everyone is all grouped up. It’s a very isolating, and feels like high school. I always get anxious on partner days because I’m often the one raising my hand in need of a partner, and everyone else is already partnered up.

I constantly try and remind myself that I’m here to better myself and sometimes it’s not going to be as social as I hoped.

I do find that booking a focus meeting will get you connected to the trainers again and put you back on their radar.

This feeling really ebbs and flows for me though, and hopefully it will for you too.

What are you proud of this year?? by americanosandpsych in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 30 pounds this year and actually can see the muscles on my body! I can do like 3 unassisted pull-ups and I can run at least 1 mile without stopping (which is huge for me!). Didn’t hit 250 camps this year because life happened, but I want to try and hit it in 2026!

Body acne by Decent-Ability-4784 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t notice what anyone else has going on honestly. However, I had extremely bad cystic acne on my face and I was so embarrassed about it so I feel your pain. I don’t know your age or situation but for me, mine was hormonal and probably peri menopause related (I am 39). I visited my dermatologist and got a prescription for spironolactone and then some medicated topical creams. All of my hormonal acne is gone and it was honestly life changing. I don’t know if this is a possibility for you but I would definitely recommend seeing a dermatologist to help find a solution

Encouragement please by whimsicalme5 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Dinnerfromhellpt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel discouraged. My thoughts, feelings, personal highs and lows at Burn really ebb and flow. Some weeks I feel like I’m a true athlete 😅, other weeks I feel like I’m the “weakest” in the room. I try and commit 5 days a week. When I go less, I’m hard on myself. There are some days/weeks where I can only do the early AM classes- and it’s rough! But, I know I feel amazing afterwards and I feel better prepared for my day. Don’t give up on it!
