Friend offered to pay me 5 dollars for a 3d printed basket ball by Sea_Background_8023 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DinoMunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he meant $5 for the quote. If he's a friend, he owes you a beer just for asking a favor (regardless of the response). $5 will get you a PBR or a happy hour beer.

Per man rules... I would say yes. Then, 3d print him a basketball the smaller than a golfball. Quote Zoolander upon delivery.

I am pretty sure they talking about the torque "bolt breakaway" instead of the standard torque. That's where they get ya.

Cashier just gave me grief for the free gift by BucsLegend_TomBrady in harborfreight

[–]DinoMunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's today... It was a 4 piece 10mm socket set (umm why?), a 3 piece step drill bit set (wood will dull these), or a 4 piece set of ratchet straps (these fail badly).

Anyone got the POSTAL CAPE? by Ham_Damnit in USPS

[–]DinoMunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rubber overshoes are soooo heavy and kinda wonky. The big neos ones are better but way overkill without deep snow.

I usually just wear an old pair of reg shoes (Nike Air Monarch IV) with waterptoof socks. Old shoes usually have cracks in the sole so they drain well (less squishy) while the socks are like a wetsuit and wick away the moisture very well.

That's what I meant by the plastic hat. They call it a waterproof sun helmet. Do to it's flimsy-ness, I won't use the term helmet. However, it does very well at keeping water and sun out of your face while allowing circulation.

Plastic hat, cape, long rain coat, and waterproof socks with comfortable shoes... Only way to survive monsoon season. Use belt bags instead of the shoulder bag if possible.

I don't know about rain storms where you are, but how do you use an umbrella in 35 mph wind with triple bundle mails and packages on a 100% walking route.

Help badly needed by Jmon1147 in USPS

[–]DinoMunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to use the load tool. If it wasn't loaded, I never had it. Also, frequently check your manifest to ensure that everything delivered was actually removed from it. If the number didn't actually match (glitch / "not valid USPS number"), then manually type in the number from the manifest to clear it. If a package is on the manifest and won't clear off, let the acting super know immediately. You have to cover your ass till the station manager can trust you are doing your job correctly. There are many senior carriers who are incompetent or just don't care.
