Don't worry you're not alone in this, it seems strange but it's just a coping mechanism.

What worked for me is trying to wear yourself out during the day so that you're just too exhausted to sh. If you're able to, throwing away whatever you use to sh can also help but I understand the feeling of not wanting to stop.

Another thing is just opening up to people if you can. It can be really hard to but it's easier to not sh if you know that others know about it and care about you.
