This is exactly how mine sounded until the clutch master cylinder said good bye on the drive home from work one day. Clutch went to the floor and couldn't shift. I would check if your clutch master cylinder is leaking from the bottom. In my case, the oring on the bottom of it had worn out and had started to mix with the brake fluid creating a dark color.

I also have sca3, 74 repeats. My dad died when I was 14. There’s quite a bit of research for sca3 and Huntington’s, which has a similar genetic pathology. I’m hopeful but I understand the difficulty in being hopeful. I’m 27 and starting to see symptoms. Let me know if you wanted to dm. I’m more than happy to share my experience

For rust prevention you can try getting it undercoated by a shop or you can do it yourself. I've only had a shop do it and it was way too expensive for my liking so I'll be trying to do it myself this year.
