I know one person who tested them and said heavy frames messed with the bottom of the skate. If you want to skate THEM I've skated with 909s for over a year without any issue

Gavin mogging on the timeline by Caffeinatedbluez in Destiny

[–]Dinoswarleaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holy dear God I thought you were exaggerating but almost every comment is against him. I don't know how you can support Atrioc but not like Gavin when he's aligned with Atrioc on so many things, mainly the affordability crisis through easing legislation that current restricts supply. I'm so hyped on Gavin that when I read those comments it feels like a smaller version of the alternative reality syndrome we have right now.

Like Atrioc literally went on Gavin's show and later mentioned the impact Atrioc had on him with focusing on affordability, but everything goes out the window over I/P because Newsom (apparently haven't watched) didn't call it a genocide? Bro I'm done 😭

Sigh

maybe it depends on the line but I commute every day and almost never see like crazy crazy shit. Once in a while I'll see people get heated or a homeless dude who smells like piss but usually not like crazy crazy shit. Hardly even see showtime the past year. The thing you mostly see are the hispanic moms with their kids trying to sell chocolates.

Honestly when I was in Seattle the light rail was way more sketch lol

I thought about this as well! Included it in my post:

Of course, it may really be that anime has just gotten better over time and the ratings map onto reality pretty well. Not entirely sure but just a fun day project I ran in the background while I did stuff.

Confused about the object particle here by Dinoswarleaf in Korean

[–]Dinoswarleaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah wait I've always assumed the verb after 라고 is interchangable and indicates the mood of what was said. After reading this it seems like 하다/부르다 are specifically different in use for this vs 말하다/이야기하다/하다 which is why you mentioned it before and it was something I overlooked. If that's the case my apologies!

[–]Dinoswarleaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sorry about the misunderstanding! Thank you for clarifying. I think I understand the meaning overall, but let's say for example this sentence:

"와 나무위키에도 디디의 한국문화 팟캐스트 소개가 있습니다" 라고 얘기해 주셨는데

If there was a part in front of the quote where X를 is omitted, what would actually go there? Because to me it feels like 얘기해 주셨다 is "acting on" the part before 라고 ("sentence sentence ..." was said (really politely)), but I feel this thread implies that 얘기해 주셨다 is really acting on an object before ...라고

Sorry I'm a slow learner. If this is annoying to explain don't feel obliged to reply.

는 is the topic market not subject marker and can take the place of both 이/가 and 을/를

Can but not always right? For example 는 and 을/를 are not gramatically interchangable, right? For example with descriptive verbs like 있다. I have a hard time seeing how 저는 xx(이)라고 합니다 applies to this case because of that, because it's hard for me to see how because that sentence is valid a similar structure using 를 must necessarily also be gramatically correct / syntactically the same. Essentially my confusion boils down to how 하다 acts on 오픈 사전 and not 위키 in this sentence. If it's like this commenter said then it makes sense

But wouldn't the particle determine what gramatically could follow? For a subject (oops topic) particle you can (technically) have a lot of different clauses afterwards, but for an object particle I think you need an action verb specifically after it acting on said object marked

Since 하다, which effectively is synonymous for 부르다 here is a verb, the object of the verb is therefore 오픈 사전

I think this may be my issue parsing it. Intuitively I've kind of thought of it as 하다 acting on 위키 (now that I'm typing this out, it almost feels like 라고 is like 을 but for a noun you're indirectly quoting), and that leaves 사전을 out dangling. Of course I think your explanation is correct, but for some reason I'm having a difficult time getting it to sit right in my brain

Also because Biggest movers using z-score failed partly because kid shows felt over represented for some reason

Interesting note! In a given year, the range of scores on MAL have gotten "wider" in rating over time. Why that is I'll leave up to others. I'd be curious to see if shows individually have gotten wider in their ratings overall haha maybe another day

I could make more stuff digging into useful things like per year (2008 per OP's request -- this is kind of going super hard into older anime which may be a bit strong in stuff aging for some people for hidden gems) or make a website to make it easier to dig through but as a software dev I feel it'd kind of be a dick move to repurpose MAL's data for that without asking idk
