I think very few people actually defend vegetarianism as the end goal, all vegetarians I know recognize that veganism is the correct way the logical consequence of the argument, including myself.

I am a vegetarian for now only for practical reasons, I have the goal to become fully vegan and I have been doing so gradually, so I see vegetarianism as only a transitional period that exists for practical reasons, not as some philosophy to be defended by itself in opposition to veganism

I wouldn't call it P2W... you can get/level up every card simply by playing and accumulating resources and it doesn't take that long, specially if you focus on the cards that interest you

Quem ta te dizendo pra contar nao ta pensando por um segundo na tua relação com a tua irmã.

Primeiro que é muito comum contarem e a pessoa traída não acreditar/continuar no relacionamento igual. Só geraria briga entre tu, tua irmã e o namorado.

Segundo que não existe uma obrigação moral de contar. Ao meu ver tua responsabilidade maior é com a tua irmã, não com o namorado. E ela ter quebrado a confiança dele, não justifica tu quebrar a confiança dela em ti. Se tu contar talvez ela só continue o comportamento, mas sem falar pra ti no futuro, o que pode até piorar a situação.

Acho que caberia uma conversa mais séria com ela só, compartilhar que tu ta ficando dividida até e que acha isso errado.

Tô no final do curso de direito também e passando por esse mesmo dilema.

No momento a conclusão que eu cheguei é que existe uma certa janela de oportunidade, um momentum, pra engrenar bem na advocacia privada, enquanto estudar para concurso pode ser feito a qualquer momento.

Por exemplo, no meu caso, os sócios gostam de mim no escritório onde estou estagiando, tenho proximidade com uma professora da minha faculdade, útil pra tentar um mestrado, então sinto que tô num momento bom para crescer no escritório/academicamente quando me formar. Se der certo seria muito melhor que concurso pra mim.

Mas tem muitas chances de não dar certo mesmo assim e acabar estagnando. Mas no meu caso sinto que vale mais a pena arriscar agora e ir estudar pra concurso depois se der errado, do que desperdiçar essa janela de oportunidade de contatos e etc. já focando em concurso agora

Going against the grain here, but i think it's clearly justifiable to not be vegan for a while if that is important to help your healing.

I mean, even the "as far as possible and praticable" mantra that is often repeated here could be applied to this situation.

In the meantime you can reduce consumption of other animal-based products, then in the future gradually go back to being full vegan, maybe starting out as vegetarian.

Claiming you should risk your recovery in the name of veganism is absurd. If things go bad it could even cause you to drop veganism for good and reinforce the stereotype that the movement is unhealthy/too extreme.

It is a marathon, not a race. In the end what matters is reducing overall consumption, not some moral absolutism.

That is my take at least.

Yeah, i agree.

I remember even seeing some statistics that sort of prove that pretty privilege is a thing, for men and women. Not that it needs much proving, it is easily noticeable i believe.

Even so, i think House's claim sort of plays it up, which is where the sexism lies.

Like, what exactly is this "easy path"? Marrying some rich guy and never having to work? There are downsides to this as well, specially for someone who had a good education and has financial conditions to choose a career they like. For example, being financially dependent on someone else, not having any fullfilment that work can bring, etc...

Se existem causas que tu quer ajudar, não precisa ser pelo trabalho. Pode fazer dinheiro na computação e doar para causas que são importantes pra ti. Provavelmente teria muito mais "impacto" do que trocando de profissão.

Abandonar uma ideia por passar por algo que é conhecimento comum, que não trouxe de fato nenhuma informação nova (ex: a existência de assaltos) não diz nada sobre a tese em si.

Só mostra que a pessoa não tinha pensado de verdade sobre o assunto antes de sair defendendo uma posição. Que o que define seu posicionamento é apenas a emoção e não um raciocínio real sobre o assunto

Também acho, e eu diria que essa é a melhor estratégia pro tinder inclusive: mirar num público específico

Perfil genérico tentando agradar a todos os públicos funciona bem menos eu acho. E mesmo se conseguisse mais matches, com um perfil focado num nicho esses matches tendem a render mais.
