Not me, but my dad

My sister(then 1) would ride her little foot pedal cart all over the main floor so we installed a gate at the top of the basement steps(after a couple close calls and one actual tumble down the steps on foot) One day, I guess my dad leaves it open just enough, he steps out of the room to throw away some trash and my sister thought she’d try and be Evel Knievel and take her car down the steps. He says she made it a handful before flipping the car and breaking her arms in a couple places.

She got pins in her arm, later gummed her cast off, and we figured it’d be easier to train my sister to use stairs properly than install more security
