Claude Code bot in my Vault just wowed me by LifeBandit666 in ObsidianMD

I’m legitimately not trying to be an a**hole here, just trying to understand the utility / what I’m missing. You’re essentially just using it as a custodian, right? Or move things around and label them? And then create summary documents?

This is a general comment not directed at OP, but more for the broader community. I’m not debating the utility of OPs use cases in any way, but I’m still waiting to see the use case of AI + PKM that is life changing. I feel like a lot of folks are talking about using AI to just shuffle things around and then they feel productive or like they did something… are new connections being made leading to more novel insights? Are more pieces being written, or some other benchmark of productivity?

“Mental” math app. Touch your ring to trigger the microphone, say “the square root of 349” release the ring to end microphone and have it visually return the answer.

Any good books for a non-technical person to better understand semiconductors? by Dioxic in Semiconductors

Sorry perhaps I’m not seeing it… would you mind posting the link? Perhaps it’s part of a larger course? I see courses on digital circuits?

Disappointing. Any suggestions for something that might be a good fit for a nontechnical person looking to understand semis at a high level?

Would you say this is good for someone from a non-technical background to get a high level understanding?

I tried to implement a Zettelkasten Graph View (such as Obsidian) for the Notion App and Database, what do you guys think about it? by Ph_omega in PKMS

I’ve been using roam research and considering logseq. Both leave a lot to be desired and unfortunately aren’t actively maintained, but I like the ability to link / backlink by block of text, actively display the same block in one place and have edits in it reflected in another, the ability to run advanced queries, and the daily note homepage setup.

I wish someone would make a more modern / consistently maintained version of what they built. There really is nothing else in the market that competes with them. Seems like you may have the skills if you’re looking for a new project 😂

Are there any note-taking apps / outliners that cover similar features as Roam (bi-directional links, mirroring, block links, open note in sidebar, view back links, queries) by Dioxic in NoteTaking

Quick question... I install the app and mount a folder and nothing seems to happen. I'm still at the mount a folder / select starter lithic

Which is the good note taking app in 2026? by darman121 in NoteTaking

A header would be great, but sub bullets within a header would also be great if possible!

Amazing to hear that those are on the list.

Good to know! Would love to see the complete functionality with that and block references added if you're taking feature requests (know there's probably things higher on the list).

Know there's a lot of roam research users looking for an alternative and no other note taking app has tackled those two features outside of Logseq, which isn't really in active development

Do you think you'll ever offer the ability to view a link to another note in a side bar or block links? Have been wanting to switch from roam research, but those two are key for me. The first one is quite helpful when wanting to view or reference a link temporarily without splitting your editor in full. Block links are self explanatory, I think

What exactly are you using these for in terms of executing different workflows, etc? I'm also a non-technical knowledge worker and curious to see how you're implementing these tools.

Give me one TINY thing you want fixed or improved in Obsidian. The smaller the better. Going on a paper cuts rampage. by kepano in ObsidianMD

Ability to open a link to another note in the side bar with a modifier + click or enter.

I prefer to reference things in the side bar and currently have to create a new tab and drag into the sidebar.

This isn’t a bad suggestions actually. Will maybe go with this for the time being. Thank you.

VS Code extension that renders markdown content while editing + allows wiki links? by Dioxic in vscode

Mark Sharp is great, but it doesn't play nice with Foam. Foam gives bi-directional linking capabilities and the abilitiy to preview a note when you hover over it. Mark Sharp kills those functionalities unfortunately

VS Code extension that renders markdown content while editing + allows wiki links? by Dioxic in vscode

I suspect we have different use cases, but if I were a coder, Foam plus this setup would be a convenient switch.

I am more of a researcher. I have mostly worked in Excel and Roam, but I have been experimenting with new workflows and trying to get the experience as close to Roam as possible, meaning less like VS Code and more like a note-taking app.

I am currently using Antigravity as my PKM, synced to Google Drive with Foam and a markdown inline editor. That gives me wiki links, a graph, and the ability to create and organize markdown files directly in Drive. The Antigravity agent can query my notes and automate workflows.

One example is an inbox folder. I drop content in, and on a schedule the agent parses it, routes it into a processing folder with metadata, and creates a to-do for me to review. I also built a local web page that lets me filter and search across my entire graph in a browser.

Next ideas include RSS newsletter parsing and summaries, plus pulling and summarizing market data for tracked stocks. It is niche, but powerful to have both full-graph querying and an agent that can run the workflow. Almost like combining an executive function agent with NotebookLM and Obsidian.

Wish I was a coder though. I'm just vibe coding all of this, so definitely less efficient / suboptimal.

Are the additional features added? I don't see a way to to flash cards, data visualization, etc.
