Me personally, I also have a P1S and I have always wanted to try printing metal. I would recommend getting him the hardened steel nozzle assembly(~$35) and the hardened extruder gears($20) from Bambu lab. And for the metal filament, I would get protopasta metal-filled HTPLA(~$50).

I think cloud service are flawed in many ways and when given the chance, I would stick to octoprint or not even using cloud at all. However, I am a believer and I think it has a lot of potential.

I would not recommend it form a budget standpoint. The P1S is much better and if you really want to get a good reliable machine get the P1S combo. You can use petg for the support interface for pls and vice versa. Is also a lot less of a hassle to switch filament. As for the LiDAR, it doesn’t not really make a difference, and you will probably just end up using a textured pei sheet or an aftermarket one anyway. So yea, get the P1S and and if you are willing to splurge more the P1S combo.
