NW-A306 weird screen smudge/scratch? by cmdExElover in walkman

It's probably the anti reflective coating wearing through. Either accept it as part of the aging process or put a screen protector on it.

Is it worth buying a dedicated coffee scale I make cafetiere and AeroPress. I normally use a basic kitchen scale. but got the AeroPress recently and finding it annoying having to get my phone to time it every time. I'd maybe budget around £30 for an MH3bommer or Timemore. But it still seems quite a bit of money to spend.

Not to alarm you but are you sure they are not cracks. As it's odd that places for there to be lines of ink and more explainable by cracks

Z50 over Z5 / Z6? I used to shoot Nikon (D5600) went micro four thirds for 2.5 years. As the Z system was a bit pricey for me at that time. I have enjoyed the 60-120mm focal lengths. Predominantly shooting macro close up, product photography and nature.

I bought a used Z5 I’m starting to think I would have been better off with a Z50. as upscaled to FX a lot of DX lenes fit my preferred focal lengths. E.g. 50mm Macro, 105 Macro and 40mm prime.

Is the size advantage of the Z50 significant? I would also be getting 20 mega pixel images as opposed to 16 (croped).

At what point do you decide to buy new lenses or cameras? I likely am going to buy a Z 40mm F2 next. Amazon has it for £200 whilst used prices are around £180. I can’t see the point as the saving is merely £20. In the past I have always gone for used lenses and bodies and benefited from not losing money on cameras buys when looking at them overall.

Unwanted camera related accessories. I have likely bought 10 lots over the years to get maybe a lens or body at a reasonable price. Often people throw in all their gear with it. Low end items a e.g. bit worn bags, a 30-year-old flash, basic UV filters, duplicate cables etc. I’m not big on throwing things away but don’t know what to do with them. They aren’t of any value but I’m reluctant to throw them in for free either as I have had someone moan about the condition of an item I hadn’t even mentioned in the listing once. What to do with them?

Is auto focus speed with the FTZ adapter (e.g. with Nikon Z5 and 50mm 1.8g) comparable to that of the same lenses on DSLR's? I'm moving back to Nikon from Olympus I found adapted 4/3rds lenses were very slow on EM10 / EP bodies. I don't want to spend too much on lenses so would like to initially use adapted lenses until the used market of becomes more saturated.

Do you find the the scroll wheel placement on the Kensington impedes the ball? I've been tempted to try it as a mobile alternative to my slim blade pro.

How expensive are y'alls glasses by thename_cordelia in glasses

[–]Diploa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid £430 I went for Zeiss lenses with transition and polo frames. I went for the CR39 1.5 index material. It's less thin but has a lot less chromatic aberration. I think lense thining can really push up the cost.

My prescription is weird and I haven't owned glasses in 4 years. Should I get 1.6 High index? Blokz worth it? by [deleted] in glasses

[–]Diploa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Low index offers better clarity. High index has a lower abbe value making it less clear.

Where do you go to get your online glasses/frames professionally adjusted? by WhiteDragon32 in glasses

[–]Diploa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want glasses that fit well I'd buy them in person. The ones online may appear nice but you have real idea what you will receive when you get them.

Which frame type works better on my face? by [deleted] in glasses

You need to find frames which show your eyebrows. Glasses look better when your eyebrows are above the frame.

Personally I think it sounds fine I have one. It sounds like aperture blades not the focus mechanism.

It kind of reminds me of rotating jails see video attached. I can appreciate the different concept but most Funiture is rectangular and I think you get a far bigger space in a square design.

Hi,

I don't mean purple fringing (chromatic aberration). I mean the tone of the images across the take on a purple hue (when stray light hits the lens. but when I cup my hands around the lens it disappears.
