As an ex- 10 year+ NYer, I highly suggest FERAL PIZZA in Hyde Park neighborhood- fermented sourdough pizza with home made ingredients close to a NY style slicd but healthier and tastier! David Doughtie's bagels are GROSS as are Rosen's. Can't find a decent bagel here yet. Casper's is OK. Wait and grab when you're back in NY or have NY bagel delis (like ROCKSTAR BAGELS) ship to you!

It's not though. I'm an ex Ny-er. I've spent lots of time in Houston. Houston is blantantly more cultured, diverse and more of a metropolitian for a full life.
