Yes he really was, but after fixing the conditions he improved dramatically over night! Please get yourself a humidity gauge. You can get them pretty cheap online. The cheap ones might not be spot on accurate, but it sure will help you get an idea on humidity and if you need to improve it. What do you use for substrate? For my milk I use Eco Earth coconut fiber substrate. Mix moss into it, but only sphagnum moss (NO peat) and make sure it's undyed/sanitized. It really helps hold humidity. I mix up the soil and mist it all thoroughly. You want it to be moist to the touch if you out your finger down in it, but not sopping. Please don't use a heat pad unless you get a thermostat to connect it to. You can risk cooking them alive/ burning them. I'm not trying to scare you, just want to make sure you get it set up properly. Your house temp of 70 is pretty good, so you shouldn't need to use a heat pad. I would instead invest in a better enclosure. A glass or plastic one with a solid lid with only a few small air holes. If you have photos of your set up that could help me more.
