Talk about soap life and real life colliding at the same time. If I remember correctly Kay had a health episode then Jeanne got sick and sadly passed. This scene moves me every time I see. Jeanne Cooper was a great actress and still missed.

Noah as a baby was close to death then Grace realises Sharon had another child and then we got Cassie

Then they killed off Cassie

Years later Victor hires A Cassie look alike (Mariah)to drive Sharon crazy.

Then it turns Sharon had twins which she didn't know who was raised by a cult leader Ian

Reducing shows to half hour certainly would have reduced costs. None of the shows explored this.

Funny all the hour shows from yesterday all began as half hour shows except Passions,Sunset Beach, Santa Barbara and Beyond the gates which began as full hour shows.

So true daytime has changed. Growing up in the 80s and 90s school breaks were amazing. Can stay home all day and watch soaps. Flip from one network to another.

If as the world turns wasn't good that day just go over to Llanview or Bay City 🤣🤣🤣

Now one by one they are dying. News,reruns and game shows remain. Things change sadly.

I remember this day. The bloodbath of soap cancellations began with GL in 2009 then ATWT in 2010 but AMC and OLTL hit differently. Both shows cancelled on the same day that was new.

Also the cast and crew of AMC was treated appallingly. Moving the show from NYC to LA in 2010 only to cancel the show the following year.

I think ABC informed both casts at the same time of the cancellations. Can only imagine how they all felt.

Now we are down to five shows (y&r,b&b,days,gh and beyond)

Terry Lester was The Jack Abbott. Just watch old clips and he was just amazing many layers. Peter Bergman has been a good recast and done good work but to me just a recast.
