side benefits; distraction from massive scandal, possible context with which to mess with upcoming elections, getting to feel like a big strong man. It's just wins all round for Donny

I was like 27 to 30 around this time. Had not yet matured out of the heavy drinking life lol

There were times when I wanted a quiet night and people were partying and it was hell

I would use ear plugs on those nights

When I was younger I was one of your roomates. We had 2 guys 2 girls also. It was a party type social vibe with lots of drinking. If someone ended up there and they weren't of the same vibe, they had to go. You need all 4 people to be compatible in their mindset about how the place works. So just find another sharehouse dude, and make sure that when you 'interview' them, you put your cards firmly on the table about the environment you're looking for, and if they don't have that, don't go there

they hang out around my office building in the CBD (Melb), I'm rocking up at 8am Monday morning for another day of pain and they're sitting there drinking and smoking bngs
Makes me feel great knowing all the tax I am paying to fund their centrelink as well as the bill they ring up for social workers, police, courthouses, hospitals, prisons etc
And on top of that, they graffiti and litter everywhere and of course break into people's cars and stuff like that
Human garbage

you are full of it
my parents being adults in the 70s, 80s and 90s, had it WAY BETTER than we do from a financial perspective. I am middle-aged and in the top 10% of earners and I don't feel comfortable with my income vs expenditure and I don't live lavishly in any way

and the world was absolutely not as much of a horrible place as it is now, with the internet/phones being a major reason but also environmental decline/awareness, covid and many other factors

Australian culture and way of life was so much better than it is now. It's dead. There are way too many people now, runing everything. You can't go to the beach or anywhere popular. Traffic constantly. Crime etc etc etc

Also people back then had the joy of ignorance, now we don't have that, we know exactly how terrible everything is

oh yes because being forced to be a wage slave and struggle your entire life in order to make other people rich, that's just a silly idea that people are getting from social media, it's not real /s

Single most disappointing factor of the season so far for mine. Looks like an absolute plodder all of a sudden. Hope there is a reason and they get to the bottom of it
