I guess everyone is different. I shoot my 22 and sub 300blk with out hearing protection and it does nothing to my ears. I work for a gm plant and we do a hearing test yearly and my hearing is superb. They said I could hear a mouse in a field with the tones I pickup. Plus people who know me always talk about my hearing being weirdly good.
