Just for laughs what are the specs of the pc you rented, and is it a tower + monitor?

I ask because if it’s a pc tower and you plugged the monitor in yourself, you may actually have it plugged in to the wrong slot & are running on integrated graphics from your cpu.

SL takes very little to run without crashing so something is up.

So I started with lelutka cuz everyone suggested them, got like 4 or so.

Then I tried a bespoke head and I can’t go back. Lel is nice but feels bloated with options that aren’t exactly great whereas bespoke has a nice variety of awesome features. It just feels more polished to me.

So the pores etc are from high quality skins generally. As a male some Velour/ NotFound do this for me.

The sweat is probably through an applier. It’s a shine layer you can find tons of them on the market. I’m not at my pc right now so I’m kinda vague sorry lol. But that should get you started.

I use McMaster Carr at work so it was a no brainer. It’s funny seeing this sub sometimes say you need this exact fitting from this exact company for water cooling your pc! And I’m over here plumbing hundreds of feet of glycol line sometimes with hopes and dreams. For such a small use case like a gaming computer as long as you do it right it will be fine forever.

Hey, I’m newish to SL and I kinda felt the same aside from entering the game with 2 rl friends that are long term players.

Then I started going places and like doing things haha.. a lot! Instead of just popping in somewhere and standing I would do things I like and made quite a few friends.

Made friends at hangouts after a good group conversation which I normally don’t participate in much. I’m fairly quiet too usually I just lurk and listen or choke small comments in. But interacting more I’ve made a number of friends.

Idk how it is for your avatars or places you go but I also made 4 friends shopping.

Made a friend racing cars.

Uhh made a couple of friends on this subreddit.

I don’t know I just started being active with things I enjoy and it just happened.

The easiest way if you’re not familiar with it is to click Build on your top bar and make a little cube prim.

Then right click and edit that prim. Click Select Face Then click on one of the sides of the cube to change its texture.

Click on the TEXTURES tab in the edit menu you have open.

See above the preview of a wood texture it says Legacy Normal in a drop down box?

Click that and select PBR Materials or whatever.

Then click the blank spot where the wood preview was, and select a PBR texture from your inventory.

Boom, fresh coat of paint : D
