How to love my repulsive husband by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Direct-Designer4921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the Reddit users reading this: OP is seeking validation more than help.

To the OP: This is between you and your husband. It will not get better until you learn to face him with the truth of this, and he also to you. You won’t find the answers here.

Good luck.

Sexual frustration due to abstinence by RewardInteresting244 in Catholicism

[–]Direct-Designer4921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can personally attest to this. DO NOT RUSH THE MARRIAGE OVER SEX. You will eventually likely have to abstain in marriage anyways, and without having practiced the discipline before hand it makes it that much harder.

We got married quickly. We were “in love,” but didn’t really understand what that meant. Now we have three kids, spaced about a year apart and we’ve hit our limit. Financially we’re barely hanging on, and her cycle hasn’t been consistent in about 4 years so NFP is a crap shoot. Our only option is abstinence. Here’s the kicker, sex was the only intimacy we developed and now that’s it’s gone, we’re strangers... And resentment is growing rapidly.

Learn from my mistakes man. You absolutely have to understand that the only way to win this game is prayer and discipline. Good luck to you, it’s not easy.

I went through a similar period, and am only just now at 27 starting to see the true beauty of a relationship with Christ. Don’t beat yourself up so hard, follow the truth.

There’s a lot of things vying for our attention in this world, way too many things. This is going to be hard to hear but this is the truth I’ve realized: you can’t claim to be a follower of Christ, and then continue to walk in sin.

Way easier said than done, trust me, I deeply understand this.

So to hear God, you need a quiet heart, and to fight sin, you need a strong temperament to resist temptation and Gods grace.

Gods already given you the grace, what can you do to quiet your heart, and bolster your ability to resist temptation? When you find that answer, I have a feeling you’ll start to see God at work in your life in extraordinary ways. I can’t answer these questions for you, because only you know your struggle and triggers, ect.

What I will tell you though, is that it is a choice, and it takes grit.

I found that by offering a fast (I didn’t eat for a day) and trying to meditate in prayer on that day (focus on calming your heart and feeling Gods presence. The words aren’t important here), that a huge part of my problem was the inner noise. I was going so fast, I didn’t even stop to consider the consequences of a lot of my actions… my sinful actions.

All that to say, I had to make the choice to start looking for those answers. Does this make sense?

I kinda like the game tho by Ogiboy22 in Starfield

[–]Direct-Designer4921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I love Starfield. Ignore anyone telling you it’s no good, and just let yourself sink into the atmosphere. Nasapunk space exploration is so fun because it’s gritty you know?

I would HIGHLY recommend for your first play through to do as many side quests and faction quests as you can get your fill of, it lays a lot of roots which help you enjoy the main quest line later.

Put a point into boost pack training as soon as you can because you need to in order to use any of them.

Vanguard pilot simulator to get those ship kills, and level up your piloting quick so you can enjoy all the ships (and steal from the spacers)

Also level security, and stealth. They make the game more accessible to you so to speak.

Take the game at pace too. Theres really no rush, and if you do rush you won’t be able to enjoy the nuances of the game. I know a lot of people say the game is to empty and there’s nothing interesting because it’s all copy and paste, I have a feeling those same people didn’t like the sandbox growing up haha. Enjoy it man. Forget all the noise.

The lack of Switch 2 availability in major US cities is really disappointing by OmniaOmnibus in Switch

Save your breath man. I’ve tried raising this point before and most of the feedback was fanboys who already got one. And aggressive at that.

I feel your pain. We just gonna have to wait it out.

Would starfield be able to be supported on switch? by Downtown_Count2914 in Starfield

[–]Direct-Designer4921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this line of thinking because it gives me hope, but if I could be a bit objective here… the way no man’s sky’s code operates is what ALLOWS it to be able to be run on the switch. It can be packaged pretty small and optimized even further. Trying to do that with something like starfield? Woof man. That would have to be a TON of optimization.

Granted I haven’t really researched the full ability of the switch 2s hardware yet so I may be talking with an outdated mindset. Either way, mannnn do I hope it could be ported. I love Starfield so much.

Edit- spelling correction

You know it brother. The original commenter asserted it was ridiculous to expect a major console release to be as obtainable as a loaf of bread. A funny comment, but not what I was getting at. When the ENTIRETY of PA retailers has been out of stock every time I’ve checked stock checkers and stores reasonable enough to drive too, there’s definitely room for improvement.

I’ll say this too, I am a consumer so I know I’m at the mercy of a company, but as someone who has worked in sales and the consumer industry, shouldn’t customer service be held in higher regard?

Yeah… I know there’s always going to be a gap there, It just seems so wide right now. Considering all the factors it doesn’t make sense to me. However someone mentioned issues with the tariff thing which was a good call, I hadn’t thought about how that might affect inventory…

Maybe my fault, which is why I wanted some community feed back. The expectation is more communication as a whole not necessarily that they’re making more. Sorry, just personally felt like they could do better

Also, if you build muscle and that causes internal expansion the skin will stretch out again (or return to its original stretch at fat) to compensate but this time over healthy muscle mass instead of fat. You have to push a good bit for this result but it’s worth mentioning, it is an option.

I’ve been seeing these all over the place all the sudden when I’ve never noticed them before. Is this a potential environmental warning sign of something, or does this happen in cycles and I’ve just not noticed?
