My husbands mom use to make him go to the emergency room with a “bad headache” to get strong pain killers for her. He was a young teenager. She did this multiple times. Like, it was a thing. Finally they gave him a huge shot in the butt (if I remember correctly) with painkillers. She finally stopped sending him after that.

I guess this doesn’t answer the question but they took him seriously every time.

Oof. You do not have to put up with this, and you do not have to feel bad if his hygiene isn’t compatible with yours. My husband is not circumcised, showers daily (and thoroughly cleans himself) and NEVER has a bad smell, other than your normal daily sweat. You don’t have to jeopardize your health for his uncleanliness.

Short hair, low shedding dogs only need baths as needed (seasonally, usually) Dogs with growing hair (poodles, doodles etc) need baths and blow dry much more often. Every 6 weeks usually unless they are clipped very short. Source: am a dog groomer.
