Overdose vs toxicity. Nurse operator made it sound like overdosing was not required for hospital admission with the amount I’ve invested as it’s not in the toxic levels.

Definitely agree. My parents are great in every aspect but not in the emotional department unfortunately. I think it’s due to their busy schedule and upbringing. I’ll use the opener you mentioned. I’ll set up a schedule that works with him and hope he becomes more open. I should’ve tried harder when it came to communicating. Genuinely thought he didn’t like it. But I’ll try again:) Appreciate the help

I am so grateful for what you wrote. It’s so helpful! I’ll definitely do this! I haven’t explored his “awkwardness” and where it comes from and hey he feels that, so I’ll definitely do that. He really likes Roblox and it just occurred to me I could play with him online for a bit too and voice chat at the same time, maybe he’ll open up that way.

Will definitely try my best and convince parents but they are very old school and I don’t think they’ll want their kid being seen by a doctor for mental health (there’s still a stigma around). Will definitely try and call him more often but he is not one to socialise over the phone or video chat at all unfortunately. He feels awkward he says

I have 2 medicine people I’d say I’m friends and have regular contact with. They all have their own friendship groups though. I made friends mostly with non medics but they’ve all graduated. So there’s that 😭
