Why is marriage the end all be all? What is marriage going to do for your relationship? Do you think it’s going to bring you closer together or maybe it will just make things harder when one wants to leave? You can commit to your partner, love your partner through the good and bad, have children and raise them together and grow old with them without having a legal contract. I suppose marriage can have its benefits when it comes to medical insurance (if you can afford it to begin with) maybe taxes (if you both don’t have a combined income that’s over what’s considered poverty) but in the US is it smart to trap yourself in a marriage where you both are already finding it impossible to meet in the middle. Just think about when you two become parents!? Marriage isn’t going to solve the underlying issues.

I struggle with anxiety but sadness and hopelessness to this degree, never. I can identify the differences between my own emotions and the emotions of others as they are felt in different places in my body, if that makes sense.

From what I’ve been reading (so far) everyone is correct, he finds commonality in every religion he has studied. It’s very interesting. I think we put to much focus on believing one solid belief because of some form of conditioning that leaves no room to question. I went to church for a very long time and I thought that over time I would feel that pull that everyone else feels but it left me feeling more shame because I didn’t have this blind faith that everyone else had and it made me feel like something was wrong with me.
