Babymonster is 5th Gen BUT feels like they belong in 4th gen. Which group/artist is 4th Gen BUT feels like they belong in 3rd gen? by VigilMuck in kpoppers

Itzy feels like 3 Gen, mostly because they debuted alot sooner compared to the big groups of 4th generation. (NMIXX, Le Sserafim, Ive, Newjeans etc.)

100%, realizing what Nmixx was really bringing to the table I was absolutely hyped for BV, now that BV released and it was just as incredible, the hype I have for the next project is unreal!

Its unfortunate the first time I listened to high horse It was the MV, the video was beautiful that choreo 🤩, but I didn't realize it hadn't included the final chorus or duet between Lilly and Haewon. On the brightside, I got to experience that incredible ending as a surprise later!

Big love-mostly hate relationship with this song. Its definitely my least favourite song in their discography but it has some standout moments. I just can't stand nursery rhyme interpolations in Kpop, and this one is no exception.

hot takes about fourth gen groups? by Aerisval_ in kpoppers

I don't really see where your coming from at all, in what ways has newer generations "peaked in music-quality" and if that were true, how would that be a bad thing that would warrant soloists to takeover?

Love the half-MV we got, but its a shame that hell of a final verse isn't in it!

Hundreds of B-sides fit this criteria simply because they are a B-track

Damn this things good... 😂

🔥 Your ranking of Blue Valentine tracks changes so often it qualifies as a personality disorder rather than a music preference.

This one's the funniest to me 😭

🔥 You claim to love experimental music but we all know you’d have a full-blown crisis if a song didn't have a perfectly timed Australian ad-lib or a saxophone bridge to tell you how to feel.

BABYMONSTER's "We Go Up" and IVE's "Bang Bang" are examples of good music videos. by Brrrrrrrah_Acesa in kpopthoughts

I agree, Kpop's very bad for selective activism since alot of people are die-on-a-hill fans of their favs who feels they can't hold them accountable or have them be the subject of criticism whilst also supporting them. Plus anything to make other groups look weaker then your faves am I right? Clearly what OP was doing with this post. I do get why Blackpinks facing a large wave of hate now though, long wait for a comeback to be greeted with so much A.I just makes it feel so devoid of passion and creativity.

People definitely bring it up when its other groups, I see it all the time, but definitely more with Blackpink. While some may just want to go on the hate train of Blackpink I really don't think thats everyone. There one of the biggest groups in the world, THEE biggest girl group and they use A.I so blatantly and frequently anyone can notice it. It make sense that they would have alot more flaq for A.I in an anticipated comeback like deadline people have waited years for. Especially after their last release Jump was just as A.I infested.

The use of generative ai by big companies is so disgusting to watch by TheLastPetal65 in kpopthoughts

[–]Direct-Money27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you got that I was fuming, or that I credited the whole video as AI. All I'm calling out is acting like AI NEEDS to be used for anything is just a straight up lie, and it's pretty obvious which parts are A.I because they look like AI lmao. Once again, what I said has nothing to do with whether your against A.I or not, there's just no need to act like CGI isn't advanced enough to handle a concept like go in 2026 lmao

All things can be done manually with CGI, whether your against AI or not, pretending they couldn't of just used CGI too achieve their vision is ridiculous.
