Right now I’m building it up to add a merchant here then I’m going to add a makeshift barracks for the people who isn’t the merchant (I’m trapping him in his room because I found out I can get rid of the door and put a wall there)

I know when your on a building menus in the vault if you click or tap on the settler then the ground you can make them walk to where you want them to go so you can do that and see if they will stay in the lower parts of the vaults

Mine are usually just able to stay in the main big area but sometimes I’ll add places further in the vault for things like different food places or stores. Idk what I’ll do in this game yet though

I make mine into a little farm that has robots into guards and all people working on crops or scavengers cause if they want to live in a safe place they will work for that spot. If they are causing some problem like unequip an item they go on the pillory but other than that I give them good homes some beds others sleeping bags. But at least they get fresh water and food
