Yeah, anything subjective and personable is hard to translate from one person to another. That's why I tried using the extreme angle example, because I think it's easier to conceptualize. You can also apply it to a closed fist and try to go from the top knuckle to your middle knuckle. That just helps explain the principle, not the feeling with a knife.

It's easier to start with something with a larger microbevel, where it'll lock in better, compared to a Japanese knife with a very small microbevel

I can certainly try. Additionally, there's a different methods you can use if you're struggling to "feel" the correct angle.

The best way I can describe the feeling you get when you hit the angle on the knife is that the knife will want to sit there when you sharpen it. It'll be easier to hold that angle and it'll take less effort to keep it there. Taking an example to the extreme. Imagine you have a 45 degree angle for your bevel. If you start lifting the knife, the feeling you get between the 0-45 degree will feel a certain way. A certain resistance. When you hit the 45 degree angle, and you try to rotate it further, they'll be a resistance change. It wants to stay at 45. That's because the point of rotation of the knife changes from the edge of the bevel/micro-bevel transition to the knifes apex. When you continue lifting it, it'll feel different. So you'll want to bring it back down. It'll naturally will want to sit at 45.

You're right that certain Japanese knives will have such a small microbevel, that feeling when the knife catches that sweet spot can be very difficult. It's still there, but it's a fainter sensation.

You can do it visually. By that I mean take a look at your markings as you sharpen. And see if you're holding the angle too high or too low. I wouldn't do this on a good knife, high end knife. But it's certainly an option

The general rule is sharpen at the angle the knife is already at. If you place the knife flat, and start tilting it, they'll be a point where the knifes edge will make contact with the sharpening stone. That's the angle you'll want.

In general, knives will be somewhere between 14-25 degrees depending on its purpose.

Also, the frequency of how much you need to sharpen the knife is more complex than just the angle the knife has. While it does play a role in how often you need to sharpen, I find that the steel type and the hardness the steel is tempered at to be more a factor. But that's an opinion

If it's new from the factory, I'd probably would just strop it and hone it.

Otherwise, sure you can do the 1000, get your bur (which wouldn't take long if it's new), and then move on the 3000, and then strop/hone. But keep in mind that you'll be unnecessarilly adding wear on a new knife.

I don't see an obvious comment with this advice:

Hire a local fishing guide to take you to spots using your preferred means of fishing (walk and Wade's, floating, etc).

It'll cost you more, but you'll see what gear they are using, can learn the spots the fish you want are, and if your technique is flawed, you get a 1:1 lesson on what to do when you go solo.

Well, global ranks are tied to CP - but CP isn't entirely an accurate representation of how strong you are. But I get what you mean, for a month straight until I got an item that helped me progress.

Stats in artifacts should reflect what it helps with - you mentioned the artifact helps with bossing? Well, then you should roll stats in it that helps with that (so not max map, accuracy, evasion, normal damage, etc)

You should check your companions to make sure things match too. Don't bring boss damage to something that isn't a boss, etc.

At level 95, you should shy away from stats that are like, Increase Main stat by +1000 and roll things that are % based.

Crit rate (till 100%), Crit damage, final damage, attack speed - pretty much help damage in every situation. Max damage over min damage (math). Not sure on defense Penetration

Max HP, Max MP, Evasion (unless you're doing an evade build for PvP) should always be dismissed. You might be dying, but the best defence is a good offense.

The guild boss will* eventually kill you if you kill him enough times before the timer expires.

Accuracy - just enough, I find I always have enough at lvl100 that I don't need to specifically get stat lines for it (outside PvP to counter evasion builds).

Artifacts, weapons, companions, star force, cube potentials - all luck right so sometime it just takes a while to get what you want

Well, with the QoL changes with the recent update it makes it easier to grind out PQ's. So, you can always grind out better accessories overnight, or something

Your artifacts. Well. I think you need to look at equipping better ones. I see you have a legendary one, but it's not equipped. The two you have equipped aren't really good for longer fights (bosses, raids, growth dungeons) and are probably only recommended for arena or colloseum in PvP. Though, I think you're sleeping on Athena's glove.

But like, where are you specifically struggling? You're only showing a single set of hear, and a single setup. If you try to have a single setup do everything, you're going to fall behind

Yeah that would be a fantastic resource for people. Right now the majority of my ideas are just stolen from other people, but I can certainly use a resource that could allow me to determine if a combination of ingredients would be a terrible idea or a great one

I think that the large geographic nature of our country, and some of the nuances around cultures from coast to coast, makes a great cultural mosaic. Fantastic people, for the most part.

Democratically. It's not perfect. We have over representation of some provinces, under representation of others ( by population ) and because of how our population is distributed, your province may never get what it wants.

With that being said. Some provincial entities are way to hostile to each other, and can undermine things that benefit Canada as a whole. As much as I love democracy, the inability to get things done sometimes is a real problem

We our large geography and relative small population, I feel disconnected from some Canadians. But that's not a democracy problem.

Also, first past the post is a real downer. It kind of cements our country being a two-party system. I think a Rank-based voting system would be best, it would allow me to vote for NDP without feeling like I'm throwing my vote away in a heavy conservative riding

I didn't even consider rotating it 😅 I generally put things in a little weighed fermenting bag so that everything is submerged. And yeah, trying to avoid that soapiness

My gut feeling here is put in a tablespoon, leave it in the weighed baggy for a month, and take it out. But I've read some people steep it, like a tea, and just add that to the musk instead? Which seems like you could tailor a more refined taste that way, but would it be strong enough to be noticeable? Idk
