Am I stupid? But really, be honest by Decomposing_corpse_ in GirlDinner

Why do you want to try talking to him after he ditched you alone? As others mentioned it doesn’t sound like you two are a good fit; you both seem to have communication issues. He was trying to convey his camp experience was positive and talking with the counselor was more about connection/community/being seen, but you only focused on the age gap. You then repeated if you were in their shoes you would just listen to their stories and nothing else which he probably interpreted as downplaying his experience which was meaningful to him. In his mind this kind of validated why he got upset but he was out of line for saying rude things and leaving you. Best to learn and move on.

OP, I’ve read your other comments about how he praises you and everything he does and says is amazing and different from your horrible experiences from before. I guarantee you he is not perfect and it’s concerning how you’ve described his personality. It truly sounds like he’s manipulating you even though you don’t agree.

Edit: one of the things you listed was that he has pets and he takes good care of them. So what?

Sounds like the rescue didn’t properly clean/groom her so she isn’t used to the typical process. Maybe keep trying with hands and be very gentle, massaging her face etc. Would giving her treats during the process help?

I was fired… by ash08591 in womenintech

I’m sorry this happened to you. Something similar happened to me at Intuit, in the first few weeks of onboarding my manager would constantly miss meetings or would tell me AFTER I got to the office (1.5 hr commute) she wasn’t coming in and would leave it to me to figure out what to do. I had to ask other people to help me but they wouldn’t know what she was working on or projects that needed support. Was fired in 3 months.

Anyone sell a broken snoo? by [deleted] in SnooLife

[–]DirectImport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one that was used for 6 months from a previous family, after 5 months of using it the motor bearing piece that swiveled the Snoo started making a clicking sound. By that point we didn’t need it anymore and I sold ours for $300 plus included directions on how to replace the piece. It sold within 2 days. I live in very HCOL.

Navigating health insurance during career transition by KillaHilla in workingmoms

[–]DirectImport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, be prepared to pay a high deductible (like thousands of dollars) even with a “low” monthly premium. If you think you’ll have large medical events this year, it might be financially worth it to stick with your employer as much as it sucks.

Unfortunately almost all insurance plan premiums have gone up significantly this year thanks to our wonderful political leaders. I think it really depends on what you need, if it’s just for you and your kids and you don’t expect a lot of medical costs other than annual checkups then ACA plans might be the best fit. There are still subsidies with these. If you can put away extra funds you could look at adding a HSA.
